URGENT ADOPTERS NEEDED!
We recently rescued 26 goldfish, 4 koi, and 3 rosy red minnows from a pond that was being drained. We are well over capacity and urgently need adopters for these guys! Please send us a message if you are interested in any goldfish, koi, or rosy red minnows. If you can't adopt, please consider donating to our rescue. We are trying to save up funds to purchase a temporary stock tub for the goldfish and koi, so that they can have a bit more space here until they find their forever homes.

Our 3 mbuna cichlids are ready for their forever homes! I believe they are all males. They're all around 5-6". The one that is a bit deformed gets picked on by the others and would need a separate tank preferably without other cichlids. There is an adoption application like with all our adoptables. Please send a message if you're interested in adopting a mbuna cichlid!

We rescued 3 mbuna cichlids, 2 common plecos, 2 black skirt tetras, and 2 black neon tetras this past weekend! I believe all 3 cichlids are male. The plecos are very large and will need a pond in their forever homes. Please shoot us a message if you're interested in adopting once these guys pass quarantine!

We rescued 3 male bettas and 4 glow light tetras last week from 3 different owner surrenders. The dark blue betta and the yellow betta are in rough shape. They both have fin rot. The blue one has a wound on his side. The yellow one has sinking swim bladder disease. They have both perked up after being introduced to clean warm water in appropriately sized hospital tanks. ❤️ The blue and pink betta and the glow light tetras seem to be in good health despite coming from extremely neglected tanks. Send us some good vibes for quick recoveries. 🧡

I'd love some name suggestions for these guys in the comments!

We've just reached 200 followers! Thank you for your continuing support! It's officially too cold to ship for the rest of of this year. We are still adopting to local fish lovers though! We will resume shipping once it warms back up in the spring.

Bubbles has come a long way with his fin growth! Despite all that tail, he is a very active guy. His favorite pastimes are invading the personal space of his mystery snail friends and seeing how fast he can swim from one side of the tank to the other. He should be ready for his forever home in the next week!

New rescue!
This Red Dragon was rescued from a pet store today. He has a large lump on his head and a secondary fungal infection. He's as active and very friendly! What should we name him?

New rescue! This guy was surrendered by his previous owner. He has some obvious fin damage. I believe he nipped his fins due to living in a large tank with very few hiding places. He has some healing to do before he's available for adoption! Comment some name suggestions for our new boy!

ADOPTED
This Jack Dempsey, named Jack Sparrow, is available for adoption! He's roughly 7-8" and requires a minimum of 55 gallons (larger if you plan to keep him with other fish). He was surrendered by his owner. He is pretty shy, but I think with regular interaction he could easily become more social. Jack Dempsey cichlids are highly aggressive and should not be kept with smaller fish. Has Jack Sparrow stolen your heart? Send us a pm to start the application process!

Trix is looking for her forever home! She was a surrendered from her previous owner and has always been in great health! She lives happily with snails, but has not been tested with shrimp or other fish. She gets her name from the many "tricks" she is willing to do for a bite of brine shrimp. She will jump out of the water and follow the food through obstacles! She would be a great fish for someone who wants to train her for the Olympics! Did Trix's stunning colors win your heart? Tecna is available for adoption! She and 4 of her siblings were surrendered by their previous owner. They were all in great health when they came in. Two of her siblings have minor physical deformities and will be permanent residents at Kat's Fish Rescue. She is a beautiful royal blue crowntail. She is a fiesty girl and definitely would prefer a larger tank! She gets along well with snails and other fish. She has not been tested with shrimp. Stella is available for adoption! She was rescued along with 7 other female bettas from a tiny 5 gallon tank at a pet store! There was absolutely zero cover in the tank and around 5 German blue rams in the tank as well. She is one of the lucky few that survived long enough to be rescued. She may or may not color up more over time. She appears to be "wild type" in coloration which means she has a gray to brownish red body with blue iridescence on top. Stella is a great eater! Her favorite food is frozen brine shrimp. She will jump out of the water and grab brine shrimp off of my pipette! She would be very easy to train to do tricks. Has Stella stolen your heart? She loves to explore her tank and discover new things.
