We are a family-oriented lesson barn providing well-rounded lessons, clinics, and show team, with a strong focus on horsemanship, equine stewardship, and the development of introductory riders of all ages.

While we had planned to change our horse of the month for July, our June horse, Kitty Two Socks, suffered an infection and requires more medical care.

Have you met Kitty yet?

Kitty suffered from lymphangitis, infections, and colic surgery. The University of Georgia Vet School used Kitty in a study, and we are so grateful to UGA for saving her life.

But Kitty still requires care and expenses to live out her life.

You can adopt Kitty for the month of July. This symbolic adoption program at Red Heart Horse helps provide food and care for Kitty. Your donation will make a difference in her life.

While our horse of the month, Kitty Two Socks is doing better. She is not out of the woods. She is still on antibiotics for her infection and other daily medications. These expenses have depleted our donation funds. Our donations help feed our horses and provide medication for them.

Our Story

Sunny Brook Stables is a newly opened community center offering a variety of equine services for individuals for all ages. Our facility has been in the Martin family since 1970 and has been a refuge for a multitude of trainers and horsed over the past 30 years. In August, the Martin family dreamed up a new vision to honor the barn’s history in the neighborhood, that is to provide a countryside sanctuary for near by residents and surrounding communities.

VISION We are a family-oriented community retreat providing unparalleled, accessible, well-rounded equestrian training, education and horsemanship with strong, but not limited, focus on the development of young and introductory riders.

MISSION Sunny Brook is committed to fostering a safe and joyful environment that enhances the well-being of our and surrounding communities and resident horses and ponies. We take pride in offering programs and events that connect friends and family across all experience levels, lifestyles and budgets. We believe in the incredible power and unique ability that horses harness to enhance child development and mental health. Hence, our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to these incredible creatures and life changing experiences.
