We LOVE the Piggle!! This is a fantastic enrichment toy, it meets the innate needs of sniffing, foraging, dissecting, taste, and problem solving.

Enrichment is one of the key components in my training plans. Play, including games, is one way to engage with your dog or puppy.
There are many benefits to play, including teaching your dog and puppy social skills and life skills. For a puppy, playing games helps with socialization. Playing games also builds your relationship with your dog.
One of my favorite games is the "green light, red light game".
What are some of your favorite games?

#Petparentpledge
I am taking the pet parent pledge. Dog parents and fosters, I am here to help you!
Today the CCPDT announced an initiative to bring to bring attention to the care and consideration we should be putting towards the pet parents we work with every day.
This month, we’re highlighting just how much our TWO-legged clients matter as a tribute to National Pet Parents Day - April 25, 2021.
When we take the #PetParentPledge, we are committing to these three best practices:
We’re Responsive - We receive all clients and potential clients with compassion and kindness. We guide human clients through the training process, understand and meet their unique needs whenever possible, provide a great experience, and deliver excellent results.
We’re Visible - We’re present and active online to demonstrate what science-based training can achieve so we can show clients what they might expect, encourage pet parents to seek help, and demonstrate the value of working with qualified, educated professionals.
We’re Professional - We assess and provide the services that our clients need to realize the best results with their pets. By doing so, I support my clients, my business, and the training community as a whole.

Have fun with your dog with dog parkour while you are stuck inside. Dog parkour is a great way to build confidence and impulse control.
Dezra, Hank, and I have enjoyed participating in the Blue 9 Pet Products Klimb Challenge. I highly encourage you to engage in enriching activities like this with your dogs! Not only does it provide mental and physical stimulation, but it helps you develop a relationship with your dog. #helpingdogssucceed
Hank demonstrating an enrichment activity on a rainy day.
Hank is demonstraing a simple smell activity on this rainy day. All you need are some boxes and either kibble or training treats. Put some boxes out, one with a handful of treats. Have your dog sit and wait, put the boxes out and have him "find it". You can then move the boxes around while your dog waits as you toss a few more treats in the box. This is also great practice for wait. Have fun!
Dezra demonstrating an enrichment activity on a rainy day.
Dezra is demonstrating an enrichment activity you can try with your dog on a rainy day. All you need is a muffin tin, some kibble or training treats, and some of your dogs toys. Simply place the kibble or treats in the muffin spots and put a toy, such as a squeaky toy or ball on top. Your dog will be mentally engaged as she finds the treats. Start off slow with one or two toys and a treat in an open spot and one under a toy. Once your dog feels confident, then try more treats and toys. Have fun!
