Surgery is tomorrow. We will be unavailable for the next 2 weeks. We should be available again on June 24th if you need us.

Cochlear implant surgery is now scheduled for Tuesday June 11th. Hopefully it does not get changed or canceled again. Very frustrating to say the least.

My cochlear implant surgery is tomorrow. I will not be available for at least a week.

05/12/2024

My surgery got rescheduled to May 21st. So we will be available up until the May 20th. Then we will be out for a week probably.

It's been quiet for over a month now. We haven't had any calls for missing pets. That's a good thing. I know another drone service has been working in the area and having some success. Glad they are helping pets get back home.

We are still here and available if anyone needs anything drone related. We have regular Dji drone if anyone is interested in aerial photos.

A few more months and it will be time to get ready for deer season. If anyone wants a pre-season deer survey feel free to contact us. Text or messenger will be best.

I will be having my 2nd cochlear implant surgery next week. I will be out of commission for a week or so. Then we will be ready to go.

Be careful recommending services. Make sure you know they are reputable. Don't just recommend them just because you have heard of them. Go check them out by looking at their Facebook or web page if they have one. Read reviews. I know my page is fairly new and I've received recommendations from people who don't know a lot about me. I try to be completely honest and transparent as possible. Trust me it's tough telling a pet owner that the odds of me finding their pet is low if it's been missing for awhile. However I'm going to be 100% honest with them.

If someone recommends a drone service to you for pet recovery or deer recovery be sure to ask questions. The most important question to ask in a pet recovery is if they use a thermal drone. If they don't use thermal they are wasting your time and money. Ask them their recovery percentage. If they tell you a really high number that should be a red flag. Pet Recovery is tough. Pets can cover a lot of ground and can hide.

We have been fortunate to have 100% recovery rate when we have been called out the same day the pet went missing. On all others our recovery rate has been very low. We have been able to search for owners and tell them their pet is not deceased in the area. That gives them hope to keep looking. And several of those have been found in the days and weeks ahead.

I post this because it's already a bad situation to be missing a pet only to have someone waste your time and money because they are not equipped or possess the ability to provide tou with a good search.

There is a lot of pressure to find a clients pet when they are paying you to search. However that pressure does not compare at all to the pressure of searching for your son's puppy he got for Christmas.

I was on my way home today after searching for Fred in Greenville. I was about 10 minutes from the house when my wife called. My youngest son's beagle puppy had got out of the fence. She was lost on the mountain behind our house. So I hurried home and got the drone out. This search had to be successful there was no other choice. I could hear my son up on the mountain trying to call his puppy and crying at the same time.

We started notifying neighbors on our road. One of them said he had just run the puppy off because she was trying to get to his chickens. I was already searching with drone when we got this tip. So I moved to the mountain behind his place and started searching there. I knew she had to be close because she didn't have enough time to go far. About 100yards behind the neighbors I spotted Rosie. She was headed in the direction of my 2 boys. They was on top of the mountain looking for her. She eneded up going straight to them. So it was a successful search.

It was a huge relief to see my son holding his pup on the drone camera.

It's very frustrating trying to fly in such a restricted space. All kind of approvals needed to just fly 100ft above the ground. I understand the safety part of it. However if any aircraft is flying here below 100ft they have more issues than my drone. LOL

We will be searching for Fred in the morning. If you live close to Pelham Rd and Thornblade area keep an eye out for Fred.

We have not had a sighting (confirmed or unconfirmed) of Fred in the last 48 hrs. We had a food station in place with surveillance near his last reported sighting but he has not shown up on camera at the food station. We will be hanging more flyers tomorrow a little farther out.

Fred is a smaller dog and is very skittish.

If you live or travel in these areas of Greenville, SC:
The Parkway,
Elmshorn Dr,
Batesville Rd (near parkway and Dry Pocket)
Dry Pocket Rd

Please be on the lookout for this little guy. If you see him or have information about him Please call the number on the flyer.

We need a sighting. We need to help him get home!

Friends in Duncan and Greer area please keep an eye out for this dog.

Meet Taz, he decided to adventure a little to far from home yesterday. The owner received a call that he was seen running with a German shepherd about a mile north of his home right before dark. The owner contacted us around 815 and we was on-site searching by 915. I searched their pastures real quick and woods next to them. Then we moved up and searched the area where the dogs had been seen earlier. While searching that area I located 4 dogs running in woods together. On thermal I knew one was the size of Taz and 2 was size of a German shepherd. One of the big dogs broke out into a yard and I was able to confirm it was a German shepherd. I was never able to visually confirm Taz. However heat signature suggested it was him. The owner drove the road next to where I saw the dogs. TAZ and the German shepherd came out in the road to her.

She was able to get Taz and as a bonus she got the German shepherd. She took the shepherd back to her home.

Both dogs were spotted around dark and both home by 1130pm. It definitely makes a difference when you reach out for help as soon as possible.

As you can see in pics Taz was back home resting up.

Taz, just a suggestion, its best to just stay home and not be out running around on a Saturday night. Less trouble that way.

Here is video from our search for Lola last Saturday. I did this to offer some advice and give visual example of how dogs can act even if they have only been missing a few hours. First couple minutes is just me explaining things. Then there is 5 clips of Lola reacting to her owner. This is first video I've created like this. Hopefully they get better with more practice. Thanks for watching.

This is so true. We can't emphasize it enough.

We had a perfect example today of why its importantto reach out as soon as possible. when a pet goes missing. A family's dog got out at 10 this morning. The owner had sighting little before 1pm and contacted us. We was able to be on site and flying around 4. With some help from neighbor sightings we located the dog and help direct the owner to it. It took a little while but the dog finally came to the owner. Dog was only lost for about 7hrs and was hesitant to come to owner. It shows us how the lost dog syndrome plays in these recoveries. Until the owner just sat down and was quiet, the dog would only come so close then leave. We instructed her just to sit down and not say anything. The dog then started getting more comfortable and coming closer. We will share some videos tomorrow. Glad to say Lola was back at home by 545.

I have this Saturday morning open if anyone would like a deer survey. We also count Turkeys while flying. Turkey season will be here soon.

If your pet is lost please reach out for help as soon as possible. Whether you contact us or someone else please do not wait days. I know we all think they will be back at anytime.

If a THERMAL drone operator can get out the same day of the pet being lost then success rate is way higher. I stress thermal because any drone without thermal capabilities is wasting your time and money.

Also, if you lose a pet do some research about missing pets. Read about lost dog syndrome. After time out on their own they go into survival mode. Even though you are their owner you could push them further away once they enter this mode.

If we can help anyone please reach out. Whether it's coming out to search, offering advice or recommending great groups like Anakin’s Trails Animal Trapping, we are here to help get your pet home.

Anyone who is missing a dog please be careful with these people claiming to locate you pet with satellite. It's a SCAM. I've talked to 2 dog owners this week who have been scammed by these people. Trust me if someone had a way to locate pets by satellite they would be all over the news. And they would be charging way more than these scammers are.
