Happy (Cold) $2 Tuesday. As sad as it can be to see dogs and cats in kennels, they are safe and sound—and have shelter, food, fresh water, and loving care from staff and volunteers. McDreamy is a handsome 1-1/2 year old male Australian Shepherd who was brought to the HSOV on January 15, 2025 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden who had picked him up on Turkey Hollow Road in the Cutler Ohio area. McDreamy was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

Kaiser is a sweet 6-year old male German Shepherd who was brought to the HSOV on January 14, 2025 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden who had picked him up on Highland Ridge Road in the Lowell Ohio area. Kaiser was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

**PHOTOS 1/17/2025** ... Clover is a cute 2-1/2 year old female American Bully/Boxer mix who was brought to the HSOV on January 12, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found her in Belpre Ohio (Eighth/Walnut Streets near Napoli's Restaurant). Clover was wearing a nice collar which was attached to a leash, but there was neither an id tag nor a dog tag on her collar ... And she was not microchipped.

The Good Samaritans who found Clover tried in vain to locate her family before bringing her to our shelter. She was found near a high-traffic street and they feared for her safely. They reported that Clover appeared to be good with children.

Raptor is a cute 4-month old male Pit Bull Terrier mix puppy who was brought to the HSOV on January 10, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found him in Marietta Ohio (Knox Street/Second Street area). The weather that day was bitter cold, and that kind individual tried in vain to locate Raptor's family before bringing him to the safety of our shelter. Raptor was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

Sheva (whose real name is Sheba) is a beautiful female Akita mix (approximately 4-years old) who was surrendered by her owner to the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden on November 19, 2024 because she was physically unable to take care of her beloved pet.

Remy is a magnificent 5-year old male German Shepherd who was surrendered by his owner on January 8, 2025 for a heartbreaking reason since Remy's owner was no longer physically able to take care of his beloved dogs. Remy's housemate Cody (a 3-year old male German Shepherd) was also surrendered on January 8th.

Huge thanks to everyone who donated to help us fix our play yards. With the grant from Petfinder and your donations- we have $$4,898 to fix our dog Play Yards! Special Thanks to Shelly Galland for showing the current yard situation. We will post "after pictures once we finish the project!
