To finish off the year I thought it would be fitting to make this final ‘Snoot Sunday’ a special one that you just might recognize. Harley is our (almost) 8 year old golden retriever. I had grown up with goldens but Harley is Michael’s first one on one experience with them and I’d say he’s changed since picking her up. She was my wedding gift from Mike back in 2017 and has been the best dog we could have ever asked for.

Some of Harley’s favorite things are eating, snoozing, playing bitey face, snacks, chasing squirrels and geese, chewing on sticks, oh and SNACKS. She is my little snack queen and has everyone she meets wrapped around her little paw immediately. She’s very convincing when it comes to snack time. You’d bet she hasn’t had a snack in years when in reality it’s been 5 seconds. She can also be very sassy (no clue where she learned that one 🙃) and we have deemed her SEVEN AND SASSY most days. If she has something to say you can rest assured she will let you know. She is well travelled and has lived in 5 different homes as well as stayed extended times with my mom in Pittsburgh. She has gone on many road trips with us to the woods in Hocking Hills, Chicago, and most recently to Virginia. She is the chief around here when your pups are staying with us. She ensures no one misses snack time and that meals are always promptly on time. She also absolutely loves running and playing with all of her friends. At the end of the day there is nothing better than curling up on the couch and snuggling with this little girl 💜

Harley and I will be taking a little break until the new year. Please feel free to reach out but I may be slower to respond until we return on Jan 2nd.

Happy ‘Snoot Sunday’ from my buddy Bruce! Bruce is a two year old Bernese Mountain Dog who has one of the most innocent and sweetest temperaments of any dog I’ve ever known. While he has every right to be afraid of people and the world in general since he was found abandoned with his siblings and he was sadly the only one to survive, he has the biggest heart and so much joy for life. He’s just happy to be here and I am incredibly grateful to be his ‘Auntie’. He’s is quite the goofball and one of his favorite activities is to under doggy aka walk directly between your legs when you’re least expecting it and he expects love, attention, and scritches. He’s a pro snuggler and usually needs held at night once everyone is settled. He loves nothing more than his big sis June who protects him with her life, thankfully because he’s not always the brightest pup in the pack 😂 Bruce has stayed with us many many times and we adore our quality time with this one of a kind sweet boy 💜

To my buddy Roux, thank you for sharing your love with our entire community. I am so grateful we spent many a day snuggled up on the couch together listening to your little snorts. I enjoyed all of my visits into The Cook’s Shop where you made me feel so loved because I could barely get away from petting you long enough to actually shop as you demanded all of my attention 💜 and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Todays edition of ‘Snoot Sunday’ is in honor or Roux who unfortunately passed away late last week. We will miss you and will cherish the time we got to spend together 💜

As promised last week I have Rosie’s sister Millie here for ‘Snoot Sunday’ these two spent the past week with us and we’re as sweet as can be 🥰 Millie is a Bernese mountain dog who absolutely loves love. If there is a possibility someone might give her attention you can be assured that she will be right there anticipating any pets and belly scratches you’re willing to give. She likes to either slam her body weight into you so you cannot escape her love or walk between your legs to trap you! Every single time I let them out back to go potty or just to hang out she is as silly as ever and rolls on her back over and over. She typically ends up bringing in a few leaves or other sorts of debris back into the house after her galavanting in the back yard 🤪 she enjoys her fair share of snacks and her parents always ensure they come prepared and Harley also shares her snacks as well (which if you know Harley she is also a chow hound) 🥰 Millie and Rosie are both such sweethearts and we enjoy having their company here at our home 💜

‘Snoot Sunday’ is coming to you with a double feature! First up we have Faith the horse 🐎 Faith and her rider Jaden are competing today in 3 contests today (barrels, poles, and flags) and Another Bark in the Wall is the proud sponsor of today’s contest. When I opened this business I wanted to be able to give back to my community and friends when I could. When a dear friend mentioned that her daughter wanted to compete in barrel racing I couldn’t think of a better way to give back. So while I am not getting into horse sitting I am a lover of animals and wish to support them all in any way I can 💜

Here is a little note from Jaden:
Hi, I’m Jaden Thacker. I am 15 years old. My horse’s name is Faith. We are participating in the 2024-2025 Crazy Woman Youth Rodeo Series in the events of barrels, poles and flags. This is a point earning series consisting of six shows and a final show in April 2025.

Best of luck to Jaden and Faith today and for all of the remaining shows coming up!

Happy ‘Snoot Sunday’ from one of my house guests Rosie. She is a 2 year old Great Pyrenees x Bernese Mountain Dog mix which means she’s a big girl and has loads of beautiful fur! She has the sweetest temperament and even though she is one of the bigger pups I watch that does not stop her from attempting to sit in my lap. She will at the very least be snuggled up right next to me. I started by walking Rosie and her sister Millie (stick around for her feature next week!) and it has evolved to them spending weekends and sometimes an entire week here with us. Rosie enjoys running and playing chase in the yard as much as she enjoys a good snuggle on the couch or in bed! She is a pure joy to have around and is always making me smile 🥰

Happy ‘Snoot Sunday’ from Buddy the Australian Shepherd! Buddy’s mom is the one who makes all of my sweatshirts and tshirts and now I get to spend time watching Buddy. He is 8 years old but you would never know it by his energy levels! He could play all day long if you let him.

One of my favorite things about him is how his entire body wiggles when he is happy. Luckily he has body awareness because with his big frame he sure could do some damage with his wiggles if he weren’t careful. Like many dogs he can sometimes get a little too excited with other pups around so when this happens we just end up having separate play times so that everyone can get their exercise and then come inside and relax. It’s completely normal for dogs to become overwhelmed with other pups around so I try to advocate for their needs and give them what they need when they need it 💜

My dad would most likely be mortified that I ever took this photo or that I’m sharing it, but this is one of my favorite photos of two of my favorites 💜 feels like a fitting day to share as my dad left us 7 years ago today and here I am getting to live my dream of watching dogs all because my family believes in me and because Harley inspired me to. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with your pets. They’re so much more than just pets to me, I love them just like they’re my own and I’m eternally grateful that this is what I get to do for a living 💜 Lindsay

A little different ‘Snoot Sunday’ for you this week! Here I am featuring Purry and Taffy, two of my kitty friends I get to visit with while their family is out of town 😻

They each have very unique personalities but they both love to be fed and loved on while I visit! Purry is more of a homebody and just wants to relax while Taffy typically spends the entire day out exploring and making friends with any critter she comes across on her parent’s property. They both start purring the second I get there and I love watching them interact with each other and watching Taffy finding entertainment in the simplest of things.. including a leaf! Purry typically looks like she’s up to no good and is plotting some diabolical plan, I believe I’m safe from her plans as long as I’m on time for feeding 🤣 Harley usually takes the ride over to their house with me and stays in the car and gets to observe them outside. We love the time we get to spend with both Taffy and Purry 💜

Harley and I have returned from our little getaway and we’re back with another ‘Snoot Sunday’ with a regular around here, miss Juniper. Juniper is a 2.5 year old minibernadoodle x Portuguese water dog. She has been staying here since she was just a little pup and we have even worked on her manners while she was growing up. She is full of life and ALL of the energy wrapped up into a little fluff ball. We can play fetch in the yard for ever and she wouldn’t ever get tired of it. She typically decides that no matter how many toys are out she needs to go get another one.. and another one.. and another one until every single toy is on the living room floor.

When she was a bit younger she decided that getting out of her mom’s yard and going on a little adventure in Marietta sounded like a great idea. After searching the streets with her mom we were able to locate her and retrieve her from the dog warden. She acted as if nothing had happened and was just thrilled to see us. Since this she now wears a tracker just in case she decides to take a field trip again. I tell everyone when they come for a meet and greet how I never let them outside without me and this is the main reason. You just never know what may spark their interest especially being in a new environment.

As you can see here she has some precious puppy dog eyes and sure knows how to use them 🥹 she makes herself right at home here and Harley’s and I love having her here with us, even though Mike is 100% her favorite around here.

Harley and I will be heading out on a little road trip tomorrow 10/2 through 10/9. We’ll be soaking in the start of the fall leaves of Appalachia and enjoying a bit of down time. If you need me please send me a message me but know I may be a little slower to responding while I am away 💜 Lindsay

This photo was captured by the one and only Kelsey Preston and I plan on sharing more of the photos from our summer session when we return 😍
