Meet Max, a sweet 1 year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback who came to visit us at our East Cobb location. After being neutered at another clinic for cryptorchidism, a condition where one or both testicles fail to descend into the sc***um, he ended up chewing through his incision.

With help from Dr. Alvey and her amazing team, Max is back on track to being a happy, healthy dog -- ready to enjoy his life as a playful, energetic pup!

We're so proud of Max's progress and grateful to be a part of his healing journey! If your Good Dog ever faces a tough recovery, remember: we're here to help every step of the way!

Meet Dr. Jacquelyn Terrell, one of our skillful veterinarians at our East Cobb location! Dr. Terrell is a Georgia native, originally from Roswell, who has always had a passion for animals and a love of adventure. She earned her degree in Animal Sciences from Auburn University before following her dreams to the Caribbean. For the first three years of veterinary school, she packed her bags and studied at St. George’s University on the island of Grenada, an experience that fueled her love of travel and broadened her perspective. She completed her clinical training at the University of Georgia, where she honed her skills and fell even more in love with veterinary medicine. 🩺

Dr. Terrell’s clinical interests are focused on internal medicine, particularly endocrinology and multisystemic diseases, and she’s passionate about providing compassionate care for every patient she sees. Outside the clinic, she’s usually on the move—whether it’s playing pickleball, hitting the trails for a run, or enjoying quality time with her adorable pitbull, Bea, who loves nothing more than a good snuggle.

Dr. Terrell brings her warmth and enthusiasm, always striving to make a positive difference in the lives of her patients and their families. Has Dr. Terrell gone above and beyond for you and your Good Dog? We'd love to hear about it! Drop it in the comments below! 👇

An estimated 66% of U.S. households have a pet. But who benefits from having a pet? Recent studies by the NIH show that pets aren't just great companions -- they offer real physical and mental health benefits!

Whether it’s through daily walks, playful fetch sessions, or simply curling up together after a long day, pets can be a bridge to better physical and emotional well-being. 🐶

Do you have a favorite activity with your Good Dog that helps you unwind or get active? We'd love to hear how your dog enhances your life! Let us know down below! 👇👇

The ultrasound helps guide the needle precisley to the bladder, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discomfort for your pet. It allows us to spot any potential irregularities in the bladder, giving us valuable information to help diagnose and treat your Good Dog.🩺✨

Dr. Alvey is seen here guiding future Dr. Gray on performing a cystocentesis. She did great! 👏🏼

Rest assured, this procedure is safe, precise, and performed with care to keep your dog’s health in check. 🐶

🐾 ✨ Career Day at Kids’ Zone Daycare & Learning Center was a huge success, and we were thrilled to have Dr. Terrell there to share the exciting world of veterinary medicine! 🐶🩺

Dr. Terrell gave the kids an inside look at what it’s life to be a veterinarian, from caring for animals to diagnosing and treating various conditions. The kids had so many great questions and were eager to learn about how we help our Good Dogs stay healthy and happy! 🐾

Is your Good Dog having trouble with mobility? Torn ACLs and knee injuries are common in dogs, but with TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery, your pup can return to their active lifestyle -- whether it's chasing a ball or going for walks with you. TPLO helps stabilize the knee, relieving pain and restoring mobility. With the right care and rehabilitation, most dogs make a full recovery and are back to their active, tail-wagging selves in no time! 🐕

We’re proud to have Dr. Lockwood, from Veterinary Surgeons of Georgia, as a trusted partner at Good Dog Veterinary Care! 🐾 Dr. Lockwood travels to our practice to perform specialized orthopedic surgeries in our state-of-the-art surgical suite, bringing expert care right to our patients.

Meet Dr. Ries Reinstein! One of our outstanding veterinarians at our East Cobb location! ✨

Growing up in Sandy Springs, GA, Dr. Reinstein is a proud “double dawg,” having earned both her Bachelor of Biological Science and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at UGA. She feels incredibly honored to care for your dogs at every stage of their lives, bringing her passion for veterinary medicine to Good Dog every day. Her kind-hearted spirit and her patience are some our clients favorite things about her! 🫶🏻

Dr. Reinstein has a special interest in oncology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery, and she loves building lasting relationships with her furry patients and their families.🐶

When she’s not busy at the clinic, you can find her in the kitchen trying out new recipes, restoring furniture for her home, or traveling with her soon-to-be husband, Joe. But her favorite moments are spent snuggling on the couch with her beloved dog, Dave, and her mischievous cat, Rickie.

She can’t wait to meet you and your Good Dogs! Has Dr. Reinstein gone above and beyond in serving you and your dog? We’d love to hear about it in the comments below! 🐾

🎃🐾 Halloween Reminder! 🐾🎃

With Halloween just around the corner, keep in mind that your kid's trick-or-treat baskets can contain hidden dangers for our Good Dogs! 🍬🚫 Candy, chocolates, sugar-free gum (thanks to xylitol), and raisins can be toxic to dogs! Even small amounts can lead to serious health issues, so keep those goodies out of reach!

Let's ensure our dogs stay safe and healthy during this spooky season!

Good Dogs Deserve Great Care

Good Dog Veterinary Care is Georgia’s first and only “all-dog” veterinary practice. Dr. Patrick Singletary, lead veterinarian and owner, loves practicing dog-only veterinary medicine, and he enjoys sharing his dog expertise with the West Cobb community. We pride ourselves in providing individualized care for dogs and being dog experts. Good Dog Veterinary Care provides premium veterinary care to dogs while educating owners on the best wellness plans to help their dog live their best “Good Dog” life. We look forward to providing exceptional care for both the dog and their owner each and every visit.

Good Dog Veterinary Care is a full-service veterinary hospital, specializing in wellness and preventative care. Dr. Singletary oversees all aspects of a dog’s veterinary health from the puppy stage through senior care. Good Dog Veterinary Care offers wellness plans which allows clients to provide premium care to their dog with easy to manage monthly payments. The wellness plans include annual visits, dental cleaning, comprehensive labwork, vaccines, X-rays, and parasite preventatives. Dr. Singletary enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially surgery, dentistry, and educating owners on the intricacies of their own dog.

Good Dog Veterinary Care is the premier “all-dog” veterinary practice in the Southeast, and the only veterinary facility of its kind in the state of Georgia. Good Dog Veterinary Care officially opened in Fall 2019.

Dr. Singletary is a Marietta resident and a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been practicing veterinary medicine in Cobb County since graduating from Veterinary School, and he has dreamed of owning his own practice since he knew he wanted to be a veterinarian as a child. In his free time, you can find Dr. Singletary and his wife Natalie cheering on the Dawgs in Athens or enjoying time Lake Rabun with their German Shorthair Pointer Mix, Lilly.
