Baby it’s cold outside! Every dog should be as snuggly as Crinkle in his super warm sweater! He said that we should have a sale on ALL sweaters, blanket coats and jackets so that’s what we are doing!

Hey friends, PLP grad, Chopstick, needs our help! Chop joined us in May after being found as a stray landed him at Philly ACCT. Not only was Chopstick found on a street corner in Philly, alone to fend for himself, he was also paralyzed. We got him in to see neurology asap and after a consult and MRI, we learned he would be paralyzed for the rest of his life. We were heartbroken, but Chop was not. He patiently waited for his spiffy new ride from Eddie’s Wheels, and when his cart arrived he was almost immediately playing fetch again. Last month, he was adopted by an incredible couple who was committed to helping this special needs boy live his best life.

Over the weekend, when Chopstick’s fam noticed blood in his urine they took him to the ER and that where he’s been ever since. This morning, his ultrasound results determined there were stones, sludge, and sediment in his bladder. There were only two choices .. say goodbye, or move forward with surgery to remove the stones, flush out his bladder, and send the stones out for analysis. The high end of the estimate for the second option was just under $10,000. After visiting Chopstick today, his family of only four weeks made the decision to move forward with surgery. This is an extraordinary expense and we are beyond grateful for his family’s dedication to this special little dude. Talk about winning the forever fam jackpot! Having just been adopted weeks ago, we feel strongly they need our support to help alleviate some of the financial burden during this scary time. We hope our village feels the same. If you’re able to lend a paw towards the cost of Chop’s lifesaving medical care, no amount is too small.
