Update on Buster 💕💕
Buster our beautiful 13+ years old male spaniel rescued from East Valley shelter is at the vet for his last medical procedures.
Buster has a heart murmur, he had senior blood work and xrays done. He got antibiotics and vitamins shots, fluids, etc. His blood and xrays all looked good. He is scheduled for dental cleaning today and he will get shaved down. His fur is beyond matted and the vet wanted him to get shaved under anesthesia to not stress him.
Fingers crossed Buster's foster has already found him a potential adopter. Busted is super sweet and loves to be around a person even tho shelter notes said he was snappy. He has not missed a meal at his foster home. He is potty trained and very sweet and nice little old man.
Due to his heart murmur his procedure is little risky today. Please send him a prayer or good energy 🙏🏽🙏🏽💕💕

Update on Bonnie 💕💕
Bonnie is the senior female chihuahua we rescued from OC shelter on 2/20 with a huge mass. She did have to have an emergency surgery the next morning. The 2 lbs mass was removed and sent out for pathology. She also got dental work done, but the surgeon did not want to spay her.
We have good news and bad news 💔
Good news is that she has been very comfortable and happy. Bad news is that the pathology result came back very bad. Her mass turned out to be a combo or 2 of the most aggressive type of bone cancers. Shocked? Apparently bone cancer can happen outside bone with mammary mass being most common spot.
Her cancer type was osteosarcoma and chondroblastic osteosarcoma.
Our vet thinks its possible this mass be the first cancer because the most common location for the type of cancer to metastasized is the lungs, but sadly I think it is a second time the cancer coming back (already metastasized).
For 2 reasons: first, remember the missing paw? I think most likely that is where the original mass was and the paw was amputated. Secondly, the reason that chondroblastic osteosarcoma is a very aggressive and nasty type of cancer it is because it is not detectable in early metastasis stage and commonly not diagnosed.
I guess we will never know her story and if she has had cancer before.
Pathology results said the entire cancer was removed. There is no cancer left for chemo, but we believe sadly and most likely the cancer will be back sooner than later 💔💔
Her surgeon is a western & doctor alternative medicine vet (acupuncturist). He is an exceptional doctor and he is the best in few areas. One of his expertise is cancer treatment. We are going to only follow his treatment plan.
I also have decided to do xrays on her every 4-6 weeks.
Even tho we will be doing everything in our power for Bonnie its very important to detect the cancer if and when it comes back. Osteosarcoma is one of the most painful cancers 💔💔

🚨🚨YoYo needs donations 🚨🚨
YoYo is 9+ per shelter (1 of the 3 seniors dumped together). We were able to finally get YoYo from Riverside shelter this morning ❤️
Our vet believes she is older. I was busy at worked and missed the vet's call, but I saw a text later that said she has terrible teeth. They want to do blood and dental. I do not know what else she needs.
Please donate toward her medical needs.
YoYo had no networking post/ pledges and we had no intention to rescue her, but once we learned she had come with another senior dog we rescued we had to go back and get her.

YoYo is the 2nd of the 3 seniors dumped together at the Riverside shelter that we took. We were not aware the 3 seniors came together when we rescued 1 of them (Lily), and by the time we learned about it 1 was adopted so we also rescued YoYo.

Welcome Barkley #A2179692 to our rescue.
Rescue only at North central shelter.
@friendsofnorthcentralshelter
Barkley bit the AC officer out of fear and almost lost his life 💔
Honestly, if I knew he had bit AC I don't know if I was going to rescue him. I thought he bit an inexperience volunteer.
First I heard it was AC I was at the shelter. We never withdraw our commitment for a dog no matter what.
Barkley seen like a very sweet dog. He was just scared at the shelter. He loves cuddling and kisses.
He is only 1 and very cute. If interested in adopting him fill out an application on our website. Due to his bite history no home with young kids. He is good to be around kids. Just no home with kids.

Update on Ginger ❤️❤️
She is in the clear and recovering very good. Still at the hospital. This video is from yesterday. We recently were dealing with parvo in our rescue and having multiple dogs in hospital there is a financial strain on our rescue. Please donate if you can.

🚨🚨Caramella needs donations 🚨🚨
Caramella left the hospital today after 17 days. We rescued this dog from seaaca shelter euth list as a behavioral dog that tries to bit with no mention of any medical issues. However, when we picked her up, she was very sick with severe upper and lower respiratory infection. We didnt even know if she is going to make it. She had to stay at the vet till today, which is a total of 17 days. They changed her antibiotics 3 times, and she got bunch of shots every day or few days.
Please donate toward her medical bill.
We were not aware nor had the funds for this 17 days of hospitalization.

Sir Walter from South LA shelter showing his gratitude ❤️
He was mean at the shelter but who could blame him with a scattered pelvic, scattered leg and dislocated another peg?
We are so happy he is recovering well. In few weeks we will consider adopting him out.
He is 2 years old, 7 lbs. sweet as you can see. He still needs a full 6 weeks crate rest.
