Over the past few weeks, we’ve witnessed immense devastation. But through it all, there have been stories that remind us why we do what we do—helping animals and their families in any way we can. Today, we wanted to share a few of those stories and the incredible pups we’ve met along the way.
KILO – This sweet boy had been at the West LA Shelter since June of last year, with little to no interest. Then decided he was ready to foster and picked up Kilo shortly after the fires began. When Kilo stopped by for supplies, we instantly fell in love with him. And the best news? Kevin is now Kilo’s forever dad! ❤️
CANELLO – Last week, while visiting the Carson Animal Shelter with we spotted a little stray pup along the way. Of course, we couldn’t leave him behind. We scooped him up, brought him home, gave him a bath, and that very night, Good Tails found him a foster. Just a few days later, he was officially adopted!
BAMBI – Surrendered by her owner, Bambi was marked “Rescue Only” due to slight aggression. The tiny spots on her back? Pellet wounds from a BB gun. 💔 Thankfully, stepped up and pulled her from the shelter, and our friend took her in to decompress for the first few nights. In just 24 hours, she began to warm up and show what a special pup she truly is. It’s amazing what a little love can do for a scared, once-abused dog. Bambi is now available for adoption!
Beyond these sweet pups, countless others have stopped by for supplies, donations, and—most importantly—shared love and hope. Every act of kindness makes a difference, and we are endlessly grateful for this community. 🐾
