City of Marion Animal Shelter will make every effort to promote pet adoptions of healthy, non-aggressive animals by the general public and by approved animal rescue organizations. To reduce the number of homeless pets, we will ensure that all dogs and cats are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, except those too young.

If anyone has seen our office cat Toddles please let us know! He hasn't been seen since Thursday. He comes and goes as he pleases but it's unusual for him to not make an appearance for this length of time. If you see him, you can call us, or just grab him for us, he's very friendly!

Recently, we assisted in Sunday's situation in Proctor and took in 19 dogs. Due to being so overcrowded and understaffed, we haven't had time to evaluate these animals as they should be. We are putting out a plea for anyone that would like to volunteer with us today and the rest of the week to help us clean the shelter so that we can get the work we need done done. It would be so unbelievably appreciated. We need our community! Thank you all so much!

This baby has been missing since May 12. Well, the owner at The local motel called us and guess who it was?!?! Cash!!! I recognized him immediately! These are the moments I live for.

122 animals getting fixed in 3 days through MARS clinic!!!!! Yay!

This little boy has the cutest little face I don’t know what it is about him that’s just so alluring this kitten is a perfect age for a child to have fun and play. He loves to run and chase toys. He throws them up in the air and goes after them. He’s so funny ❤️❤️❤️

This handsome and distinguished gentlemen is approximately 6-8 years old. He is neutered and declawed(by owner) unfortunately his owner passed away and left him behind. He is feisty and playful with his age, but he tires out quickly and wants to be left alone. So I would not recommend any small children. He needs to sit the rest of his life on a shelf enjoying leisure time.

Alisa came into our shelter around late September. She was a sweet baby from the very beginning. Alisa quickly became one of our favorites. Well…. today the owner recognized her on our page. They are now happily reunited. Her real name is Lady!This is what Animal Control facilities are all about. 💕💕💕💕💕💕

UPDATE: Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup have been rescued! Thank you so much to Furgiven Animal Sanctuary for taking them. 💕 We are in need of a rescue or someone educated on the condition these three little pups have who can give them the proper care they need. It is a neurological condition that causes them to wobble constantly and we are not equipped to meet their needs. They are most likely a Pyrenees mix and are less than 6 weeks old. Anyone who can help please share!
