Had to split one hive today (I was afraid it was about to swarm it was so full), and re-queen another (the queen seemed to be M.I.A, no eggs or larva = dead hive soon) but now we should be in business! More bees arriving in a couple weeks!

I opened the hives again tonight to make sure that the queens are laying eggs. If you look closely you can see the larva curled up in each cell! All 3 hives are looking great! I was excited to see the Bluebells blooming behind the hives tonight as well, this will be the last time we need to feed the bees this season, they will have plenty of blooms from here on out. #eastpostpumpkins #americaneedspumpkins #pollenators #honeybees
