We will be closed this Thursday and Friday for the 4th holiday. We will reopen on Saturday 7/6 for normal business hours.

Meier Vet will be closed from 8/21 - 8/25 as we get our parking lot completely rebuilt. For emergencies please contact the Blue Pearl at 319-841-5161. We will be back open for regular visits on Saturday 8/26.

Update 9:30 PM: we are back! Internet and phone were reconnected about 5:30 today. So far all seems to be going well. Hopefully tomorrow is good. We appreciate everyone’s patience as service was being restored.

Our internet and phones are currently down due to the weather. We are working with our provider to bring those systems back up. Unfortunately we will be out of communication until that happens. We will post when we are back up. The clinic remains open, though. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Update 2:30 PM - Service is still down. Our provider has trucks out to repair systems across town. Hopefully we will be soon. Check back for further updates.

The Cedar Rapids emergency clinic will be closed on May 5th, 11th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, and 25th. In order to help our clients in case their pet experiences an emergency, we will be working with Ross Veterinary Clinic to cover those days.
If your pet experiences an emergency on the 5th, 11th, or 19th, please call Ross Veterinary Clinic at 319-373-1131. Dr. Meier will be taking emergencies May 21st, 22nd, and 25th. Please call Dr. Meier at 319-531-0281 if your pet has an emergency on those days.

Thomas is looking for a forever home! He is a very sweet adult long haired cat. He has gotten along well with our clinic cat Leo and seems to do fine with dogs. He is litter box trained, up to date on vaccines, and FeLV/FIV negative. He will need to stay on prescription diet food. If you are not a current client, we will require a vet check to ensure he will be well taken care of. Please call the office if you are interested in giving Thomas a forever home. 3193735257

Dr. Meier will be going on her annual family vacation from August 2nd to August 8th. The office will still be open for medication refills, food pick ups, nail trims, and laser therapy.

We have a client with two kittens needing a home. The tabby is Twix (male) and the black is Baby Ruth (female). Raised in their home, very sweet, and litter box trained.

Due to the updated CDC recommendations, we will be reopening our lobby tomorrow, May 14th. However, since all of our staff members are not fully vaccinated, masks are still required. If anyone prefers curbside services, they will still be provided. Simply call when you arrive and a staff member will assist you. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Hello everyone,
All of our staff will be vaccinated as of Monday, May 31st! We plan to open our doors and allow people into the building on that day. Masks are still required, and they still must cover the nose and mouth at all times while in the building. If you would prefer curbside, we will continue offering that service, all you have to do is call in like usual!
