So this big guy is feeling better! No surgery required and no idea what had him blocked up. Thankful he is getting back to normal! Oh and what about those “boots with the fur” he’s rocking now?! 😂🐾❤️😂

Say a prayer for this big guy! Zulu’s been at the vet since yesterday, praying he passed whatever he has swallowed but looking at possible surgery to remove the blockage. love him so much already, and was so sad to leave him yesterday.

Introducing Zulu, our newest family member! 2023 was a year of sadness with the loss of our sweet Daisy Mae, and while we weren’t looking for an addition so soon, the universe felt otherwise and this beautiful boy found himself needing a new home. We are over the moon with Zu! He is a 2 yr old standard poodle with lots of personality, wisdom and love. He has fit beautifully into our home since end of November. Of course Jack Kitty is still the king boss, but everyone knows and accepts that! 😄 he loves to play and has made fast friends with not only Jack and our other girl Pebbles, he loves our sweet little neighbor dog and basically anyone he meets! I am still taking clients for 2024 for drop ins, appointment needs, and occasionally overnights if it’s the right fit. Would love to see some of our old and dear friends as well as new ones! Making new friends and caring for old ones alike here at On the Fly Pet Care has kept us hopping so far this 2023 season. I am truly thankful to have built bonds and relationships with these pets as well as their owners. It is with a very heavy heart that I say our sweet Daisy Mae went over the rainbow bridge this morning. She has been a trooper for the past year and even though she battled diabetes, and eventually blindness, she still remained a happy go lucky sweet sweet girl. Our home will feel a little more empty tonight but still thankful to have had for her in our lives for the past 12 years. Glad that my daughter and I saw that little box near Wendy’s that said “free” on the front and we wondered “free what?” Of course we were only stopping to look, (yeah right) , but when we saw that sweet little beagle face pop up over the side of the box we knew she would be coming home with us. Pets make such an imprint on our hearts forever, and they make us better people. I hope she is running and having all the snacks and laying in the warm sunshine with miss Sassy, Buck, and Sparky.

With a daughter graduating high school, and chasing my son across the country playing baseball, things are finally settling back to a summer routine here. Meet Kitty, neighbor cat, and Rocky. Kitty is a 17 yr old kitty who lives with sweet Penny the dog who I walk each week. Kitty is a little temperamental, but hey if you live to be her age you’ve earned it! 😄 She has discovered that I bring her soft treats when I visit, so instead of hiding or ignoring me she gives me this stare down each day waiting patiently on her treats. Neighbor cat is just that.. a beautiful long haired neighbor cat in Ender’s neighborhood who loves to come see me when I arrive rubbing in and out of my legs as I walk. And Miss Rocky is a beautiful girl I am visiting to care for while her owners are traveling. I haven’t met her sister yet, she’s even more shy than Rocky and hides while I’m there. Cats.. quirky, cool, total minds of their own. They can take you, or leave you. And that’s precisely why I love them so much! So when your kitties are going to be alone while you’re away from home, I’d love to drop in and take care of their needs. Fresh water and food replenishment, scooping litter and refreshing litter boxes, as well as simply spending some time playing or being there with them… I’d love to help with all your kitty needs! Somehow this slipped through the cracks and I failed to post it on Christmas. A little glimpse into life here at our house with our girls. Miss Daisy as you see LOVED her Christmas present. She is such a funny girl and gets super excited about presents, treats, sweaters, and new doggie friends. She couldn’t wait to open her Christmas gift this year!

Sailing into Monday like… woah if you have a pup who likes chasing, catching, etc.. give this Chuckit toy a try! Ender’s people found this on Amazon for like $12! Hands down my favorite toy so far, and totally Ender’s fav!!

Ender is frisbee crazy. On days when it’s a little too warm for a big walk we chill in the backyard in the shade and toss a bit of frisbee. Border Collies amaze me with their agility and intelligence!

"Knock it off Rodeo"

Meet Rodeo, my neighbors African Gray parrot.. I'm checking in on him while his family vacations He is a wee bit naughty and flings his food all over when he isn't getting as much attention as he wants. 🤣 I was looking at my phone, and he started flinging his food, then scolded himself in his owners voice "knock it off Rodeo" too funny, reminds me of Dobby the house elf in Harry Potter punishing himself.

A new friend joins us today! Beautiful Anna Banana ❤️❤️ she's a sweet Aussie Doodle and enjoying some play time with Roxy the Labradoodle! Pretty Pebbles even joined in on the fun!

Sweet Roxy, I don't believe I've ever met a dog who loved a ball this much, and that's a HUGE statement for anyone who knew our dog Buck!! Roxy will entertain herself for hours and hours.. we throw it, she throws it for herself, she drops it, smacks it, paws it.. lol so much fun! So glad to have Miss Roxy visiting again this week!
