🚨 Captain’s Second Birthday Wish: A Forever Home! 🚨
Meet Captain—a 2-year-old pit mix (though we suspect he might also be part billy goat 🐐). This sweet and spicy boy has been with us for about three weeks and has stolen our hearts (and some hotdogs 🌭).
Captain’s favorite hobbies include:
🏃♂️ Using YOU as his personal parkour course.
💤 Snuggling up when he’s ready to crash.
🍖 Devouring treats with gusto.
Captain is an absolute lovebug with people, but he’s not a fan of other dogs or cats. And while he’s super sweet, his parkour skills mean he’s best suited for a home without small kids (unless you’re raising tiny gymnasts).
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Captain’s rescue in The Marlee Project out of Oklahoma hasn’t been able to bring him back to them just yet—but while he's in Cedar Rapids still if you'd like to meet this quirky, lovable boy before he heads back let us or The Marlee Project know. With his second birthday coming up on February 8, the best gift of all would be a place to call home.

We still have some boarding spots available for Christmas and new years, if you know anyone looking! We take a max of 14 dogs for boarding that includes all day daycare, our Christmas Supper, Grinchy breakfast and all fun activities during their stay! Hawkeye came for boarding! My family and Renee's family use to foster his family! So great to see he's turning into a fine pup!

Due to recent winds we had to have someone fix the ceiling in the kennel area so todays down time is in our small evaluation room while they are working.
