It was an honor to speak with these ladies at Conference Carolina’s. We spoke about the impact of Hurricane Helene had on our county shelter and the many shelters that surround us. We want to thank every one that has supported us since Helene and who are still supporting. Without the community and the surrounding counties we would not be where we are today. Attention!

We will be closed to non-urgent canine intakes until we can contain a suspected respiratory illness among our dog kennels.

Please be patient as we try to get this illness under control and prevent further spread.

In the meantime we do have quite a few adult cats available, all shapes, sizes, colors, and ages ranging from 7 months-7 years. They are all longing for furever homes! Adoption fee is $65 all cats will be spayed/neutered and current on age appropriate vaccines!

Bad news! the Grinch didn’t have a current rabies which is required in the state of NC. Good thing animal control had everything under control. Don’t forget to bring your dogs and cats out for a rabies vaccine. Details are in our last post!

Day 9 of our Valentines post! This is Nyx our beautiful mountain cur mix. She is a wonderful dog who needs a home where she can run out her energy! She is a loving girl and would make a great adventure partner!
