Meet Chance (white) & Coffee (mini) they will need immediate foster homes.
Chance is a 20 year old Gelding, and Coffee is believed to be 16.
Our Farrier will begin to trim Coffees hooves, but he will need trimming every 2 weeks due to way overgrown hooves.
Chance is rideable, Coffee is green broke.
Chance will need lots of groceries (senior horse feed mash).

Yesterday, one of our adopters found Miss Ani, had passed away. The Mare on the right. They knew something was up, as she had started showing signs of slowing down. She was very loved and this was her herd. Fly high Miss Ani. ❤️

Mr. Sampson (left) gained his angel wings yesterday. We believe he was struggling with the passing of his lifelong pasture mate Chester (right).
Rest easy boys. Both boys had EPM which was managed with medication, and had 3 good years of retirement from plowing and pulling. We're just over the moon they both got to experience kind hands, pasture life, and lots of love.

Twas the night before Christmas,

Hay feeder invention. We needed to keep the horses close and below the hill for they're hay kept getting blown into the electric fence. So we took the round hay feeder apart and attached it to one set of gates in their pasture. Now haying is a breeze, plus this equals zero waste. ❤️ pictures of Captain Ford, Ginger, and Lassie Lynn.

BREAKING: New documentation of the suffering that American horses endure in Mexican horse slaughter plants has been released as a result of Animal Equality's recent investigation. Tragically, it confirms our worst fears. This footage shows horses being prodded, beaten, sprayed in the face with high pressure water hoses, shocked in the face, and even hung by the neck with chains. We know that 50 American horses a day are siphoned to Canada and Mexico through the cruel horse slaughter pipeline, and time is running out for this Congress to pass a permanent ban that will save their lives.

With Congress scheduled to adjourn NEXT WEEK, there are very few working days left to pass a ban on horse slaughter. We must ask you, a dedicated equine advocate, to once again take action and tell your lawmaker you want a ban passed before the end of the year, particularly in light of this new and disturbing documentation. Our horses cannot wait, and the House and Senate leadership have the power to act – they have one last chance to include slaughter ban language in the end- of-the-year omnibus bill a "must pass" bill. They need to hear from you!

Below are two vital actions you can take today:

CALL House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (202-225-4965) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (202-224-6542) and urge them to insist on inclusion of a permanent ban on horse slaughter in THIS congress.

So Mr. Personality is doing great. We've had a hot, wet and humid summer but that makes for lots of green, green grass. We're looking forward to cooler weather.

Spirit has been rehomed. Once he is settled in his new home, we will provide updated pictures. We are so happy to be able to help him, his previous owners and his new owners.

We are again, helping rehome a very much loved pet. This time it's a doggie. Her name is Little Pup, she is a 2 year old LGD (Great Pyrenees). She is not aggressive and very kid friendly per her current owners. The family is very saddened to have to rehome her and simply want to make sure she goes to an excellent loving and forever home. She is located in Sugar Grove, VA.
There is no fee for her.
We don't have a doggie application. But are asking people to fill out the horse adoption application and just put NA on farrier information.
