As we all know inflation has unfortunately affected all of us. For us, at HHH (Hayes Horse Haven), a non profit who is dependant on donations, we haven't recievd but $100 in the past year. Donations have literally dried up. However, we still have vet fees, farrier fees, medication bills, and never ending feed bills, luckily we were able to bring the hay fields back to life, of which Hayes Valley Farms spent over $3000, re-seeding and fertilizing in order to make hay for all the animals on the farm and rescue side. Unfortunately, even the farm income of Hayes Valley Farms (HVF) who is the biggest contributer of HHH has decreased, due to rising costs of everything Ag related and having to lower prices on livesock to try and make somewhat of a profit.
Sadly, we can no longer accept any surrenders, however, we will continue to offer help to owners needing to rehome their much loved equines and pets. Unfortunately, we just cannot squeeze blood out of a turnip.
This is the very same reason we have not attended any equine auctions, as we just do not have the funds to take on more mouths to feed, without donations.
We will be posting upcoming equine auction scedules, for those of you looking to save one. We will still be available to answer any and all questions that we recieve, to help as much as we can, without enduring further costs on our end.
We can only pray our Beloved Country gets through these hard times that are upon all of us. Sadly, we have applied for well over 1,500 federal, state, and local grants, of which have shifted away from Animal welfare, and our opinion, towards very distasteful agendas; of which we will not get into. Our leaders are spending billions of dollars and sadly, organizations such as ours, are being left out of their grand picture. Which in the end only hurts the animals we were trying to save.
We aren't going anywhere, and hopefully we all will see a better tomorrow, we can only hope and pray.
As of right now we have 5 equines o

Merry Christmas to all, from all the horses.
This morning we lost Miss Granny. She had come so very far in her rehabilitation, she experienced love and peace. We had high hopes for her recovery. We will forever miss her and keep her in our Hearts. This is the sad part of rescue. Please keep us and the horses in your hearts as we lay Miss Granny to rest.

So the corn that was destroyed was divided between the horses, hogs, goats, and cattle. Still have several days supply before it spoils. But the horses definitely were thankful for the knocked over corn. 🤣
