11/07/2024

1-3 today.

1st track was awesome. Congrats to TJ. Heck of a buck. Deer walked off yesterday after he was shot TJ called right away to set the track up. Got there this morning Boone did his thing going across open field 200 yards then doewn into marsh again no blood any where at all. 320 yards to the dead buck.

2. Hunter watched Buck lay down last night after the shot. Went in this morning track with Boone started at the bed and headed to the creek. Then lost it. Went back for a restart did the same thing again so we crossed the creek he picked it back up and we jumped a deer but didn’t see them. Got back to Hunter and he believed it was his buck looked healthy a high back hit.

1-1 today. Prime example of the hunter not being sure on shot not much on the arrow at all and no blood at impact. So the hunter booked me went out at 12 today found him at 1205 lol buck went 50 yards double lung.

Had 1 track this morning for a young man’s first archery buck at 9 years old. The deer was jumped last night so they backed out and gave Boone and I a call. Boone made quick work of this track going about 165 yards from its last bed with 20 yards of blood then nothing. I’m so proud of this little hunter. Jon Sauer tell your son congrats and I’m proud of him. We are glad to help out.

What a day today for Boone and some happy clients. 3-4 today.

1st one was a liver hit buck that Hunter thought was potentially low and didn’t track at all just called. Buck didn’t go 100 yards Boone took us right to him.

2nd was a liver hit Hunter watched the Buck bed 3-4 times final bed was 25 yards from the stand no shot and he had to walk out that way as well he waited along time to get down heard the Buck walk out of the bed so Hunter left then no blood at all. Came in today stared at the last bed Boone took us 130 yards to the Buck dead by the pond no blood at all.

3rd was shot this morning by a great family friend Connor JH 8am. Thought hit was low got there around 3 to track. Not a lot of blood at all Boone took us 100 yards or so to the buck.

Congrats to all the hunters today.

2-3 yesterday.

1&2 were from same hunter shot a doe. Then a few minutes later a dandy buck came in and he shot that he knew the shot was back so he called me and told me all about it. Came in next morning at 9am. Boone made quick work going about 250-300 yards right to the bedded buck. Big congrats to Jason Gilgenbach

Then after dragging the buck back I tried hard to refocus Boone and pick up the track of the doe he hit. After 5 min and 100 yards he had us standing over the big ole doe.

3- 8 yard shot steep angle no pass through but Hunter thought he smoked the buck. Boone got right one the track took it to where they had last blood about 80 yards from shot and took us another 200 down towards pond and high grass and then track turned cold. Covered the property and nothing. Watch for him on camera again.

1-3 today.

Big congrats to Re*****on Posthuma on his biggest bow buck to date. Did the right thing backed out when blood got sparse last night in the cattails. Went in today around 3 Boone made quick work 5 or so min and had this dandy buck to hold.

1-2 this morning.

#1 - tracked for about 60 yards on blood then nothing this was in cattails hunter said it was a low shot couldn’t find the bolt all the blood was on the ground. Boone took it another 150 yards then he was searching with not much interest believe it’s a leg or brisket skim. 100% alive

#2- Alex Krumholz did everything right his first buck with a bow. Shot last night. Called said he believed it to be mid body hit marked where he thought the deer went into fencing and got out of there said the deer just walked off. We waited till 1030 this morning. Zero blood not positive where deer was standing when shot because of picked corn field. Boone took a line and after 80 yards I didn’t like it so we went for a restart and right away on the new line he must have picked up the track because he took off and 3 min later had us standing over a true giant buck. Congrats to the hunter. Thanks April Wylesky for thinking of us and glad you were able to join in the recovery for your son.

Busy day yesterday. 1-4 in all. I couldn’t be more happy for Scott Reed and his son on his first archery buck on a few small spots of blood about 40 yards after the shot then about 80 yards later we were standing over this beautiful Buck. Congrats again.

By far the most impressive track Boone has done. 39 hours old Hunter lost blood 70 yards into track. Boone ran to last blood then went to a thicker area with no luck. Got back to last blood and he then took the line into a corn field then turned north as he was going I noticed a large track in the dirt and he was working hard for the scent followed it about 120 yards to the woods and 5 yards into woods I saw 1 drop of blood on a leaf and 5 min later we were standing over Kyle’s biggest buck to date. Congrats Kyle.

1-2 yesterday.
1st track hunter shot Friday night looked like 1 lung liver on arrow only a few drops of blood so they backed out. I got there about 11am. Started the track Boone extended it by 100 yards on a tiny bit of blood then mother we went another 400 before he lost interest. Very odd not giving off the scent a fatally hit buck should. So I called in another tracker to see if his dog could pick it up and that lead to the same thing.

2nd. Shot yesterday morning showed up about 330 to track liver hit deer and in 2 min Boone was standing over him after 200 yards with no blood after the 40 yard mark. Congrats Cody Ryan nice buck.

10/19/2024

1-2 yesterday. 1st. Hunter found corn on blood trail and backed out we went in and had the buck in 5 min. He didn’t go far from last blood. Congrats Jim Hansen on a dandy buck.
2nd frontal shot that was not handled good by Hunter he grid searched and brought his own dog out. Boone was able to extend the track by 200 yards to the bolt which unscrewed its self from the head about 7” of pe*******on only. After that Boone lost interest.

1 for 2 today. So glad Boone and I were able to take part in the recovery of this giant 8 pt buck. Amazing deer congrats to the hunter.

Boone made quick work of this one this morning for a very close family friend. His first archery deer ever!!! Huge congrats!! 2 drops of blood in first 20 yards hunters backed out last night making the right call. Boone hit the ground running from hit site to 350 yards later to this dead 8pt buck. So proud of Carter Hunter
