Massachusetts Young Farmers & Ranchers MFBF’s Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) cultivates the next generation through leadership development, advocacy training & networking opportunities.

The Young Farmer and Rancher Committee is made up of Farm Bureau members between the ages of 18-35 we are engaged in agriculture or the equine industry. The objective of the YF&R program is to provide leadership in building a more effective Farm Bureau and preserve our individual freedoms and expand our opportunities in agriculture.

Today, our YF&R team came together at the State House to celebrate Massachusetts Ag day and National Ag Day, honoring the incredible contributions of agriculture to our lives and world. It was a day filled with inspiring conversations, meaningful connections, and a shared passion for the future of farming. Thank you to everyone who joined us in this celebration! Together, we can continue to cultivate a brighter future for our farms and families.

We are selling T-Shirts to raise money! Proceeds will go towards sending our members to the American Farm Bureau annual meetings in San Antonio and Denver.

The American Farm Bureau Federation Discussion Meet competitive event simulates a committee meeting where discussion and active participation are expected from each participant. This competition is evaluated on an exchange of ideas and information on a pre-determined topic. Participants build basic discussion skills, develop a keen understanding of important agricultural issues and explore how groups can pool knowledge to reach consensus and solve problems.
