Hello out there Facebook friends…
We’d like to do a soft introduction for these roly poly little meatballs who have been growing up in our care. 😘
These kids came to us from a very pregnant mommy who actually gave birth right here at the shelter. She’s been doing such a great job nursing, but they are growing fast and are starting to try big kid food now! These little chunkers are literally eating up our supply of puppy food, and we could really use your help replenishing our stash.
We’ve added some things to our Amazon Wishlist (link below) for them; we are most in need of PATE puppy food right now.

Please know, these guys are not ready for adoption yet and won’t be for quite a while yet, so we are not taking applications at this time for them. We promise we’ll formally introduce them all when they’re a little bigger. ❤️

We're only one sleep away from Thanksgiving! While the turkey is currently thawing (we hope... if not, you're welcome), we thought it would be a great time to talk about Thanksgiving dinner and your pets.

Every year we see posts about the dangers of table scraps and how cases of pancreatitis can cost upwards of $2000 to treat. While we STRONGLY suggest not changing anything about your pet's diet on Thanksgiving, we know that Thanksgiving is also a day that your pet is likely to have something outside of their normal diet, whether it's unintentional or your Auntie Mildred won't stop slipping table scraps under the table to your pooch.

Food is a way that we humans show love, and it's hard to ignore those cute little faces looking up expectantly at you. If you feel the need to show your pet some extra love tomorrow, we've included a list of foods that are pet-safe.

🦃 White meat turkey must have *no* seasonings on it, and we don't suggest giving your pet *any* turkey if the turkey has been fried or injected with any spices, marinades, or seasonings.

🍗 Turkey bones, especially cooked, can be very dangerous and cause bowel obstructions or perforations. Unless you want to spend Thanksgiving Day or any of the days after a the vet clinic, we don't suggest giving your pet any bones.

🥕 Everything on the "Yay" list is fine in moderation. These foods are meant to be given as a treat and not a replacement for their regular food. Any food that a pet eats outside of their normal diet has the potential to give them mild GI upset depending on how sensitive they are.

No matter how you decide to celebrate Thanksgiving with your pets, we hope that your celebration doesn't end up requiring your pet to visit us or the emergency clinic!
