There have been questions lately about monoclonal antibodies (librela, cytopoint, solensia) and their use and safety in our patients.
Extensive international research in these treatments over the last decade+ has proven their overall efficacy and safety. In our personal years of use, we have been very pleased with the clincal results we have witnessed.
Monoclonal antibodies are used for a variety of purposes. They can be lifesaving in infectious diseases like parvovirus, fight itchiness driven by allergies, or target pain and inflammation related to arthritis.
We carefully evaluate every case and monitor routine labwork and physical exams to help determine which cases would potentially have the best response to these treatments.
