Our Story
Playful Pooch is a fun place for your dog to play during the day while you're busy or to stay while you're away! We currently offer daycare, boarding, grooming, and training. Our facility has indoor/outdoor play areas for dogs to do what they like best; whether they enjoy lounging around, playing with friends, or chasing balls. Playful Pooch's large indoor rooms each have access to the outside. Our facility also offers additional large outdoor areas for play. Every dog, whether staying the day or boarding, will spend their day romping around with their human and canine friends. By the end of the day they will be tired and happy. Our Mission Playful Pooch is dedicated to consistently providing high customer satisfaction by rendering excellent service, quality pet care, and furnishing a fun, clean, enjoyable atmosphere for every dog in our care. Our mission is to make sure every dog has an enjoyable time at Playful Pooch and will consider it a second home. The owner, Laura Thomas, graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a bachelors degree in animal behavior. After college she managed a premier doggy daycare and boarding facility in Denver, Colorado. There she continued her animal behavior education and is certified in canine CPR and canine Heimlich maneuver. After three years she decided to move home to Pittsburgh and offer excellent pet care services to this area.
