🚨 CONFIRMED RABIES CASE IN HARRISON COUNTY 🚨
The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office has been notified of a confirmed case of rabies in a domestic cat within the county. The animal tested resided within the Honeysuckle Farms area of Longview. We are urging all residents to take necessary precautions to protect themselves, their families, and their pets.

⚠️ What You Need to Know:

* Rabies is a deadly virus that affects the nervous system of mammals, including humans.
* It is typically spread through the bite or scratch of an infected animal.
* Vaccinating your pets is the most effective way to prevent the spread of rabies.

🐾 What You Can Do:
* Make sure your dogs, cats, and ferrets are up to date on rabies vaccinations.
* Avoid contact with unfamiliar animals-wild or domestic.
* Report any animals displaying aggressive or abnormal behavior to Harrison County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
* If you or your pet have been bitten or scratched by an animal, seek medical attention and notify local authorities.

As we celebrate this Friday July 4th, please remember that the clinic will be closed in observance of the Holiday. If your pet needs a refill of anxiety medication or your pet gets nervous & you haven't seen a Vet about it yet, then please call the clinic to set up an appointment.
Your pet should have a tag/some type of ID if they get out during fireworks. We want to keep your pets safe & healthy.

The Pyrenees Mix is a female, that appears close to the same age or a little older and is very attached to the male.
They are both intact (not fixed), and in poor body and coat condition.

Update- the aussies owner has been missing him for 6 months and will be picking him up Friday.
