"XERINA VOM KING CHARLES"
November 20, 2012- February 20,2025
My heart is broken and in disbelief as Xerina passed away on Thursday late evening in her sleep. This came as an extreme shock as she has done so extremely well since her big surgery in November.

Xerina was much more than just another dog. She gave birth to several litters of puppies and touched peoples lives everywhere she went. She visited nursing homes, Hospice houses and enjoyed meeting new humans everywhere she went.
She leaves behind her life partner Buster Vom King Charles who is so extremely lost and sad🥲
This came unexpected as we had gained renewed hope when Xerina did so well after her surgery.
God give me strength as the grief and loss seem unbearable.
Rest in peace my beautiful Xerina.
She was KIND-
She was SMART-
She was IMPORTANT-
SHE WAS LOVED!!!!

We are home 🙏🏻
Thank you all again for all the messages,phone calls,thoughts and prayers. Xerina has been so resilient it's absolutely unbelievable. She has over 100 sturtures inside and out that have to be ice packed and lots of meds for pain,infection control and inflammation. The trip home she was truly amazing. Aunt Nona sat in the back with her and kept her quiet. Only three stops-
Buster is SO happy she is home😊 I ask for continued prayers as she has a long journey to recovery. I am posting a couple photos of the hormonal mass and the ovarian mass. I haven't received the others yet this morning. VCA Vet Hospital has asked for permission to post Xerinas story as it was a very unusual and complicated one. I will share the link when it becomes available.

Update as of 8:00a.m. 11/21/24-
Xerina went through a 5 hr surgery to remove a hormonol mass and a couple other mass'.
She is still hospitalized and not "out of the woods" but we are praying that she will wake enough to drink and eat a bit on her own so we can take her home🙏🏻.
I'm overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love and compassion shown for Sweet Xerina. She has over 100 babies out there all over the country and I know they are all as sweet and smart like their Momma💞🐕
I'm asking for continued prayers as we push through this journey and our long drive home when she is discharged. Special thanks to my Frister Nona for taking the time to be here with me!!!
Also don't forget about "husband Buster"
Thanks to my husband Tom and Lee Sorum for comforting him while his wife,Xerina is gone. He is truly lost without her😢

This time for Queen Xerina🤪🐕🙏🏻
If you could "SUPER PRAY" that would be awesome. We are here in Omaha Nebraska awaiting a very large surgery in the morning.
Xerina has a large abdominal mass and a couple other mass' that need removal ASAP. We were blessed to find Dr. Meyer here in Omaha to do this complicated surgery. Its also Xerinas 12th birthday tomorrow so we are hoping and praying for renewed life as she has been such a blessing to so many humans and a Momma to over 100 babies.

It is with deep saddness that we tell you one of Xerina & Busters pups "crossed the rainbow bridge" yesterday. Lee & Holly Sorums male pup,BUSTER JR. lost his long battle with illness/cancer. I'm not exaggerating when I profess that this is a huge loss😢 These dogs are family-
They are loving,kind,forgiving,resilient and love us unconditionally. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Lee & Holly as myself and Buster & Xerina grieve also.

A pup out of Xerina & Busters last litter. He is battling an infection thats causing a very high fever and the vets are struggling to figure it out.
