July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month.

30% to 60% more pets go missing between July 4th and July 6th than any other time of the year. Unfortunately, less than 3% of lost pets who wind up in shelters find their way home, and only 17% of dogs find their way home on their own.

Here are a few tips to keep them safe and sound this 4th of July.

We now offer LASER THERAPY. “Laser”— stands for “light amplification of stimulated emission of radiation”.

Laser therapy helps tissue repair by causing the following:

-Endorphin release
-Vasodilation, which increases blood flow to bring in oxygen and cells involved in the healing process
-Muscle relaxation
-Decreased inflammation
-Faster healing and repair

The main clinical benefits of laser use in pets include decreased inflammation, decreased pain, and improved wound healing.

Happy Pet Appreciation Week!!!

Right, let's talk about the human-animal bond. It's pretty incredible how much our relationships with animals can impact us. I mean, think about it—pets aren't just companions, they genuinely make us healthier and happier.

So, what's this bond all about? Basically, it's this special connection we have with animals where we both benefit. It's emotional, it's real, and it changes our lives.

Let’s break down the health perks, shall we?

First off, physically, pets can do wonders. Studies show they can actually lower your blood pressure and heart rate. Plus, they decrease cortisol, the stress hormone, and boost oxytocin, that lovely “feel-good” hormone. And let's not forget, better heart health overall. Pretty amazing, right?

Then there's the mental health side. If you've ever felt less lonely with a pet around, you know what I’m talking about. They help ease anxiety, lift depression, and even give you a sense of purpose. Just having them there can really boost your mood.

And socially? Pets can be real icebreakers. They help us chat with people, kids learn important social skills, and they even build communities. Who hasn't struck up a conversation about someone's dog at the park?

Here’s a quick recap:

Basically:
Physical: Pets chill you out, good for your heart.
Mental: Pets help with feeling lonely and anxious, make you happier.
Social: Pets make it easier to meet folks and feel connected.

It's clear, pets do way more than just keep us company!
