It's National Black Cat Day! Here are a few interesting facts about these beautiful cats:
1. Black is the most common feline coat color.
2. Black cats are less likely to be adopted.
3. Black cats can rust in the sun.
4. It's rare to find an all black cat.
5. Black cats almost always have yellow eyes.
6. Black cats can be resistant to disease.
7. Many cat breeds can be black, but only one breed is always black...the Bombay.
8. Black cats are NOT bad luck.

If you ask a vet tech, "What is a vet tech?" most will say that they are first and foremost advocates for their patients. They get up every day to do what is best for their patients. They go to bed every night wondering if they did everything they could for their patients. They stay late and come in early if it is in the best interest of their patient. They take every relationship personally and treat them as if they were their own. Veterinary Medicine is lucky to have such a loyal, dedicated, passionate group of people to care for your pets.
