Update: I’m in western NC and it’s really bad here. We got lucky and did not have any flooding but I’m at a higher elevation. We lost power, water, internet and cell for a few days. My sisters kids and their families have moved in with mom and I due to no power at their homes. It is totally devastating in many areas. We have 4 interstates into/out of Asheville and they all were closed for a few days. 2 are now open - to SC and eastern NC. If you want to go to TN, you have to know the back roads that are open. Several small towns were completely wiped out by the flooding - completely wiped out - nothing left. Two days of heavy rains prior to the hurricane is what did us in. The rivers were already about to overflow from the rain. Nobody expected the hit we got. There are still some areas that are completely impassable and people aren’t able to get out. I’ve been thru many hurricanes and never seen this kind of devastation.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! Yesterday was one of the best birthdays I’ve had in many years!

First time camping (in a new travel trailer) with my mom in many, many years!

Mom’s first time staying for the full horse show!

First time showing a performance horse in 17 years!
New horse that I’ve only owned a couple months!
6 lessons learning a new discipline!

3 classes- 3 wins! Great way to start my new driving career. My horse and I have things to work on but I am thrilled with his performance!!!

Thank you Darci Marshall for the amazing horse! Many, many thanks to Edward Lake and Suzannah Swanson Lake for convincing me to try a new discipline and doing a phenomenal job teaching me to drive!! Finally, thanks to my mom and my friends for all of the support and encouragement!!! I couldn’t do it without all of you!!
