We are getting a lot of calls and text messages about dogs having little red circles like shown below. The gnats are out and they are bugging our furry friends already. As mentioned below you can apply Benadryl ointment to the spots if your pet is itchy but if you are concerned or just want to make sure please text us in a photo or give us a call!

We would like to introduce you to our first pet that was nominated for "Most Interesting Case"

Meet Ella Mae is a almost 3 year old Toy Poodle. She is an excellent patient who frequently visits us to monitor her platelet disorder. We found this disorder after her owner noticed some bruising on her abdomen. We proceeded to do a CBC which revealed that she had a platelet count of 6000 (normal is 200,000-400,000)! She requires medication to control this disease and handles it all great thanks to her amazing owner.

We are sending our out of town employees home and plan to have everyone else out within the hour in an effort to get everyone home safe.

Of course we hope the weather man is wrong and we don’t get anymore snow but in anticipation that we will and that road conditions could be poor please let us know if you cannot make it to your appointment. We have several staff members that live out of town who may struggle to make it in so we may be running a little short staffed but as always we just want our staff and clients to be safe so please don’t take chances if you are able.
