Help us wish Dr. Jacobson a Happy Happy Birthday!

Earlier this week, the Animal Rescue League of Marshalltown made a post about a litter of kittens that were abandoned outside of their building in a cramped cage. He saw that post and decided for his birthday this year he wanted to give instead of receive. So he made a call to the ARL and offered to spay/neuter, perform the pre anesthetic bloodwork and test them all for Felv/FIV at no charge to the ARL. Good news is after examining them, doing the pre anesthetic bloodwork and the Felv/FIV test on them all, they were determined to all be healthy little furrballs that could safely undergo aneathesia! So today, on his day off, his birthday, he performed the spay/neuter surgeries on them all. He couldn't have thought of spending his birthday any other way🥰. The smile on his face shows how much joy this brought him.

Like many of us who have had opportunities to give instead of receive we find that we are more blessed to give than to receive.

Dr Jacobson said to make his birthday even better would be to learn that all these kittens get adopted to good homes who are committed to a life long of love and care.

If you are considering adding a feline (or canine) additional to your family, visit the ARL of Marshalltown and make a difference in the life of an animal. But remember, it's a time commitment and a financial commitment, not for a few months or a few years, but for that animals lifetime which hopefully is many, many years. God Bless!

It's National Cat Day, a day we get to celebrate our favorite paws, purrs and whiskers. 😺

We do our best to make our hospital cat Chilly's captivity as as good as it can be and always feel thankful she let's us work at her hospital😀. We do kinda love her❤️.
