I occassionally take in my client's pets to stay at my home while on vacation or whenever the need arises with my three beautiful English Pointers, Abby, Ellie and Jackson.

I know it’s been quite some time since I posted, but today I’d like to pay tribute to this amazing girl who crossed the bridge yesterday. Riley was 16 in July and still had the desire to love life despite conditions brought on through aging. She particularly loved her walks with pet sitter Carol. I started caring for Riley and her brother Rudd who, unfortunately is no longer with us, back in 2007! We have a long history which makes this very difficult, but I feel blessed that I got to spend some time with her this summer while I was up from Florida. RIP Riley - forever in my heart ❤️💕🦴🐾

We want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season - and for those who didn’t know, we now have a new addition to our household, meet Pippi! She’s been with us just under 3 months and is the perfect addition. She looks like a puppy but is actually 3 years old and a whopping 30 lbs, a pocket pointer! She’ll be making the trip up north with us this spring - hope to see you then 🙏

I honestly came home from Florida for the summer with little or no expectations for boarding or dog walking during Covid but, to my surprise, I have been pretty busy here at the Inn 🙏.
It makes my heart happy to be able to spend time with some of my regulars and it’s always nice getting to know the new comers. Here’s a little preview of some of the visitors at the Spooner Inn. Enjoy and stay safe 😷

So happy to be back in the hood and look who I got to spend the past couple days with! It’s Riley! She’s been a client of mine since 2007 and still has some get up and go for an older gal. She was so excited to get out for a nice walk and enjoy some company over dinner🙏

I know things are very different these days with Covid but if I can help in any way with your fur babies, please feel free to reach out. I’m here through September, early October but can easily be talked into staying longer if the need arises 😉😉

On Tuesday March 3rd, Kathy and Jim had to say goodbye to their sweet 15 year old boy Jack. I feel blessed to have known and cared for him for the past 11 years! He will surely be missed 😪 - RIP my friend 4/21/05-3/3/20

Greetings from Pompano Beach, Florida - 2019 was a wonderful year - our son Jason got married to Samantha Lugar, I got to see my son Mikel Bowman on three separate occasions!, I got to spend an awesome summer in Marshfield with both my human and furry friends and got some more renovations done at the Florida house and actually did a little pet sitting while here too.

It’s New Year’s Eve - Monti the pup will be bringing in the New Year with Steve, Mykos and I but I don’t think he’s going to make it to midnight!

Here’s to a happy and healthy 2020 - I’ll be in Marshfield from 2/14-2/24 as well as the summer months and available for boarding so go ahead and make those reservations and let me get your fur babies on the calendar.

Meet Monti - he’s a 6 month old Havapoo who I got to spend the day with today - he’s only been in Pompano for a week and is doing really well. He belongs to my neighbor who has asked for my assistance while the puppy transitions - Mykos was excited to have company - I’ll be doing potty breaks for a while and Monti will be joining the Spooner’s for New Years - yeah for puppies who aren’t mine lol 🙏

Well not sure if it’s happening but....meet Willow - she’s a one year old golden and staying with us for 4 nights - my first boarding client in Florida! Mykos is loving the company and she’s doing great - raising the bar if this leads to anything lol - let’s see where this goes ! ps my neighbor has me popping in on her Boston Terrier on Monday - a couple short walks and dinner! Fear not, I will be back in Marshfield in February then again for the summer but for now let’s do this 🤣

Busy week here at the Inn with pet sits and house guests - we’re winding down as we approach September when Mykos and I head south to join hubby in Pompano Beach. Sometimes it’s just better to keep your pups in their own home while you’re away as in this case with Jessie.

Jessie usually stays with me at the Inn but had sutures and the Elizabeth Collar so we thought it best to do home visits. It worked out perfectly; she was quite content at home and enjoyed her walks around the hood and the freedom of her own yard.

I’m only here for the summer and have openings for both boarding and/or home visits so if you are making plans, feel free to reach out to me. In the meantime, enjoy Jessie’s adventures this week 🙏
