RIP Hope 💔
We lost a major part of FBF this morning with the passing of our Queen, Hope. Hope came to us in 2020 through of the generosity of Leslie Kelley - who always steps up to help FBF and horses in deaperate need of help - and the tireless work of Kelley Pomeroy, who runs a rescue and intercepted Hope from boarding the slaughter truck to Mexico. Hope fit right in at FBF and quickly became a symbol of hope and love to so many of our students. She flourished with good care, love, respect and new found purpose to help people who were struggling either mentally or physically! She become a reliable friend to so many who needed a friend. She was truly our Queen and we all loved spoiling her after her assumed many hard years working for the Amish. She may have come not knowing what a treat was or a proper bath but left this world with 5 years of endless treats and the absolute best of everything in life. We pampered her and loved her daily and damn she deserved it.
Hope thank you for giving everything you had to all of us for the last 5 years. It was an absolute privilege to love you and care for you. I truly believe you changed all of us for the better. The inpact you have had will be felt for years to come.
Endless thank yous to Leslie Kelley and Kelley Pomeroy for saving her and trusting us with her.
Thank you to Megan Colter Jacquie Egan Jennifer Copponi Green and my entire FBF family for helping so much the past week in caring for Hope. Thank you to Linda Cimetti and everyone at South Shore Equine Clinic for caring for Hope the last 5 years and a special thank you to Dr Carlson who worked tirelessly this past week trying to save Hope. Your love for our horses is so evident in the work you all do and it is so appreciated.
Hope - run free my girl and I just know you are back with your bestie Strawberry dozing in the sun. We love you “Big Mama” and are so grateful for all you have done for us ❤️
