🚨 Attention Dog Park Visitors 🚨
💥Important Health and Safety Notice.💥
We need your help to keep our dog park safe and enjoyable for everyone!
Recently, we’ve noticed and received multiple complaints of an increase in owners brushing their dogs (like Newfoundlands, Great Pyrenees, and Huskies) at the park and leaving large piles of hair behind. While it may seem harmless, this can actually pose serious health risks:
1. **Health Risks to Other Dogs**:
Dogs are picking up and playing with these piles of hair, which can lead to choking, ingestion, and other health issues.
2. **Environmental Concerns**:
Birds may collect this hair for nesting, and if the dogs have been treated with topical flea or tick treatments, it could harm the birds and other wildlife.
To ensure the safety of all our park-goers, both furry and feathered, we kindly ask that you:
- Refrain from brushing your dogs at the park.
- Dispose of any and all hair properly if brushing is necessary for immediate reasons.
- If you are seen brushing your dog and not cleaning it up, you will be asked to clean it up, if you refuse, you will be asked to not attend the park.
Your cooperation is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and fun environment for everyone. Please use the leave it as you found it mentality in our park. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep our park a wonderful place for all to enjoy!
Thank-you,
Your Board of Directors
