Bubba had some of the worst overgrown nails I’ve ever seen in person. But Jessi and Tony from Platinum Paws Grooming Studio always answer our pleas and made a visit to the kennels because Bubba didn’t need the stress of a car ride to her grooming building.
How amazing are they??? Literally on the floor with him and comforting him at every step. Besides the fact that’s he’s an angel, they’re so patient and accepting of his limits.

🚨Urgent intake, help needed 🚨
We had an immediate intake needed locally, so we did what we do best and answered that call.
She was in a crowded house with many other dogs. She has several wounds from both a recent dog fight and a few older lacerations.
She is shaved from an apparent flea infestation.
She was surrendered for alleged behavioral issues…we see this as a common reason for rescue surrenders. We always suggest local trainers, but unfortunately that wasn’t an option financially with Rose. Seeing pets given away for free on Facebook is always sad, but especially when they’re so innocent and sweet like Rose. We step in so their fates are secured and safe.
She’s scared and anxious and we’re trying to do our best to keep her calm. With the wounds, she won’t be able to exercise anytime soon, so we’re going to start an Amazon wish list to hopefully keep her mentally stimulated! For now, monetary donations are what’s needed. I will post the vet bill this afternoon!
She’s currently at the vet getting sutures, antibiotics, getting updated on vaccines. Hopefully an immediate spay when we can get an appointment. All of this costs funds we weren’t expecting, but knew Rose’s time was limited and we could figure out funds after she was safe.

Copper Paws has become a safe landing space for any dog who is in jeopardy. These dogs came directly from a puppy mill. Once the breeder decides a dog is no longer profitable, they only give a small window of time for us to get them to safety.
Thankfully, we have a facility that allows us to physically get everyone safe and then work on networking these dogs out to specialized senior, foster based rescues.
While we most likely won’t have these dogs vetted and up for adoption through us, they still need to be fed, given water, cleaned up after and sanitized—which all costs money and time. Please help us continue to be their safe haven!
