💫Wobbly Wednesday Update
We are pleased to share an important update regarding Penelope Rose. This week, she underwent a thorough neurological examination by a specialist, who confirmed that she is facing a severe case of cerebellar hypoplasia. Unfortunately, her size prevents her from undergoing an MRI at this time, as the necessary imaging quality would not be achievable. We have sent out a series of tests to check for parasites that could affect her nervous system.
It will take time for her muscles to strengthen, but she is already showing great improvement through exercise and by using her walker. Penny remains in such great spirits and enjoys all the attention she receives while accompanying her foster mom to work each day to get the basic care she requires, like using the litterbox. She loves to chat and lets us know when she needs our attention.
Given the complexity of her condition, it is likely that Penny will need lifelong support.
We are actively seeking a dedicated sponsor to help offset her ongoing medical expenses and basic necessities. Your generosity can make a huge difference in her life. If you are interested in contributing to her care, please visit our website at

Natalia tries to trick me for more breakfast. Knowing she was fed this morning by my partner. She has tricked me before. 🤣

Remember Richey? He was abandoned and left to die with six of his housemates. All of them were sick and emaciated. He was not only sick but had been sick for so long his eyes ruptured and dumped while being completely blind. His eyea were so painful he would not let anyone touch his head. Richey felt immediate relief after surgery and let me touch his head while making muffins on his bed.
We opened the specially-abled cattio yesterda and today he was caught on camera enjoying the cattio. He went outside all by himself. We were concerned he wouldn't like it and maybe even trigger him.
Well here he is today enjoying the cattio. What an amazing and resilient guy.
Here is his story:

Our specially-abled kitties got to experience their cattio for the first time. Sala, Richie and Toph did not make it outside because it maybe too overwhelming for them and we wanted this to be a good experience. All three are completely blind and outside noise mybe too much. Simba is the exception because he has been harness trained outside. Poor richie was dumped as an adult blind cat. We can only imagine what triggers that would bring him.

Kovu makes it outside for the first time using the cat door. What a smart and determined boy! 👏

Turns out Blinkin is a she not a he.
She was seen today by Dr. Wiggans for her optholmology appointment. Good news is only one eye needs enucleation and the other eye has scarring and she may not have much vision, if any but her eye can be saved. We will continue to make her comfortable until surgery date. Debating if we should keep her name or change it. Not sure to what. Blinkin fits her personality so much.
