I will preface this by saying despite what it seems like in recent months, we are NOT typically in the pet rehoming business!!

We currently have 14 Lionhead cross bunnies looking for new homes. They would be perfect for 4-H (Morgan County will allow mixed breeds to be shown in small animal) and/or family pets. They are a variety of colors; ages range from 5-8wks old, and we have not checked genders yet. Currently living in the barn but would enjoy being house pets! These cuties belonged to one of our clients who had a couple of surprise litters after two bucks clearly had a lot of fun before their true identities were discovered and this resulted in a baby bunny boom!!
To prevent another population explosion, we are offering to spay/neuter these guys & gals at a discounted rate when they are old enough to have the procedures done. Spaying/neutering not only helps with population control, but it can also prevent cancer, and naughty behaviors like spraying, and generally makes them more personable.
Good homes are a must and keep in mind that rabbits are a long-term commitment. They are located at Centerton, but please PM before coming because they are in a private barn on the property.

Rehoming is 20/ea or 15/ea for more than one. All proceeds go to the St. Francis Fund. Each bunny will go home with a couple of days worth of food and hay.

Update: FOUND A FAMILY!!!

Percy the guinea pig is looking for a home! He is almost 5mos old and has been neutered. Sweet little guy, but kind if timid so needs an experienced home who can build his confidence. Loves sitting in your lap, just not the biggest fan of being picked up and held.
$25 adoption fee to St. Francis Fund
He's located at Centerton

Opossums need dental care too!!
This little fellow was hit by a car and had some damage to his jaw which was causing one of his canine teeth to dig into his upper gum. OUCH!! He was put under anesthesia while our team filed down the problematic tooth just enough to prevent it from touching his upper gum. We hope that this procedure will allow him be pain free to start eating properly so he can be released back into the wild!

UPDATE: Kim will be going to a rescue that specializes in special needs kitties! Thank you for all who shared and to The Ranch Cat Rescue.

This is Kim and she would love a home for the new year! She is a ~4yr old, spayed female, domestic shorthair. She is so sweet, loves human interaction and playing/being active. It is believed that she was hit by a car which caused tail damage/paralysis and recently had her tail amputated to improve her quality of life.

She is special needs and will require a home that has the resources to provide proper care which currently includes canned food (brand doesn’t matter, but no dry food), a small amount of mineral oil with one meal per day and two medications. We hope she can be weaned off the mineral oil and meds over time. Prednisolone and Prazosin are the two meds and together they cost approximately $300/yr. We also recommend weekly cold laser treatments at either of our clinics and will be available to her at no cost for the duration of her life.

She was previously an outdoor cat and is learning to use a litter box, but still misses the box on occasion. She has improved greatly since her tail amputation and meds so very well could have been a physiological issue rather than psychological. She probably should be kept in smaller room or large crate as she settles into a new home.

No adoption fee, but we will need proof that you will provide proper care. If you are not a current client a veterinary reference will be required.

Need last minute gifts for your pup or want to eliminate pet odors while family is in town? We’ve got you covered!!

The Pet Odor Exterminator candles smell fantastic, last a long time and they actually eliminate pet and other odors rather than just masking them! We have some scents that may not be displayed.

Kera-Balm is not just for snouts. It’s great way to protect and care for paws and elbows especially during the winter when chapping can happen.

Imuquin is fantastic for boosting your pets immune system. We also have it for cats!

Hills Treats - we have a wide variety at Centerton (photo is just a small selection) and various price points.

Dog Owners: You are probably hearing a lot about the mysterious respiratory illness that is affecting dogs across the country. Here are a few things our veterinarians want you to know to keep your pets safe:
• Be vigilant in monitoring your dogs for signs of illness after boarding, holiday travel, or other activities where pets may have commingled with others. If a dog develops a cough or lethargy, a veterinary visit should be recommended.
• Make sure all of your dogs are up-to-date on all of their recommended vaccines including distemper combination (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvo), Bordetella, and canine influenza.
• Reduce contact with large numbers of unknown dogs when possible. Just like with other respiratory diseases, dogs that are co-mingled may be at greater risk for developing the illness.
• Keep sick dogs at home whenever possible (unless taking them to the veterinarian for examination or treatment). Social settings carry inherent risks of disease spread.
• Avoid communal water bowls shared by multiple dogs.
• Be aware that brachycephalic breeds (those with flat faces) seem more susceptible to the negative effects of this illness.
