We wanted to do a quick spotlight on the animals currently in foster homes. These placements are temporary, every one of them is still looking for a permanent home.

Thanks to their foster families, these pets get some breathing room, a bit of routine, and a safe, steady environment while they wait for adoption. It makes a huge difference!

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, consider this your nudge. It doesn’t have to be long-term or perfect. It just has to be you giving them the kind of comfort that only a home setting can provide.

If you’re interested in meeting one of these pets or want to learn more about fostering, please reach out to us. Give us a call, a message, or stop by the shelter!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the shelter!

Thanks to this community, every dog and cat at our shelter was able to enjoy a special holiday meal. Your donations stocked our shelves, and our volunteers put in the time and effort to make sure every animal got their own plate.

We appreciate everyone who backs us, whether you give, adopt, foster, or simply pay attention to the animals who need it most.

Enjoy the photos, and thank you to everyone who shows up for animals in need. 🧡

In light of the media release shared about Friday’s large-scale rescue, we wanted to provide an update directly from our shelter.

First and foremost, we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and the immediate response from our rescue partners. Because of their compassion and willingness to mobilize without hesitation, all 106 dogs involved in this case found placement. Every single one. We could not have done this without our village standing beside us.

We also want to address some concerns and comments we’ve seen.

At no point during this operation were any animals euthanized.
The goal from the moment we arrived on scene was to remove, stabilize, and safely place all 106 dogs, and thanks to our partners, staff, volunteers, and Animal Services deputies, that goal was accomplished.

While these 106 dogs are now safe, our shelter is still full. Many incredible animals are still here waiting for their chance, including some who have been with us since the beginning of August. They deserve the same happy ending.

If you have ever considered adopting, fostering, or volunteering, now is the time. We would love to introduce you to the dogs and cats still hoping for their own miracle.
