12 yrs old (has been off the track since 2015 purchased through Amy Paulus) 17h, amateur friendly all around good boy. He’s done a bit of everything from eventing, jumpers, trails, herding cows, bridleless, etc. Has carried husbands, leadlined kids, and turned around and done 3’6 rounds with owner all in the same day. He adjusts to who is riding him, although he doesn’t appreciate true beginners bouncing/flapping (makes him think it’s race time). He has bird catcher marks, gets liver colored in the summer, tri color mane, and appreciates a roached mane Mohawk fits his personality. Self loads in the trailer. No maintenance, no shoes! He’s been a barefoot king since 2015.

My little man is getting so big. This is him begging to be part of our ever-growing petting zoo of goats chickens & mini ponies.

He has twice now jailbroke the goats out for a nightly adventure. 🤦🏻‍♀️🐐🐐

Kenobi got hurt in recess for the 947th time this school year. It’s a cut and he’ll be completely fine but he wants everyone to know it hurt.

Casino was poking and pushing and generally just a pest to the other kids but it’s fine because he’s the teachers favorite and he acts like an angel when the teacher is around.

Max again told the recess monitors he is invisible while standing behind a swing and that he doesn’t have to leave recess because she can’t see him...despite him being the largest kid in class and clearly visible behind a swing... which covers nothing. We can’t get him in.

Your responses are hilarious !! We really want to meet a lot of your horses.

Mission

Our mission is to assist in the transition of OTTB’s from the track into their second careers. Our horses come from our personal contacts to track trainers, owners, and breeders. This relationship is key. It allows us to know more about the horses history and personalities.

Some of our graduates go on to be upper level competitors in dressage, eventing, and jumpers, some go into extreme cowboy challenges, others go on to be family horses. We let the horse explore their area of second career and further that training with the end goal of finding a loving home. Rider and horse match is one of the most important factors for a successful partnership.

We allow the horses the opportunity to acclimate and and adjust to life off the track. This is a period of many changes for most OTTBs. Each horse is so different some require time to heal or decompress, whereas other are ready to go from day one. Each of our horses is well versed in basic groundwork, handling, and basic foundations under saddle.

We work with excellent farriers, chiropractors, pulse technicians, and vets to formulate the best possible program for each individual horse.
