The grooming facility in this article is not my shop. This groomer is in Tulsa. He happens to work or own a grooming shop called Doggie Doodle. Some woman named Wendy Owsley has mistaken my shop for this one in the article. The abusive groomer in the article that killed that poor dog, is a man and in a totally different state. People need to read what they post before slandering other people and their businesses 🙄

DOG GROOMER ARRESTED FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY: An affidavit says a 4-year-old golden doodle named Atlas died while being groomed by Diego Angel at Doggie Doodle Grooming in Tulsa. Court documents say a “disturbing video” revealed Angel punching Atlas and choking him using a groomer’s lead. Court records say Atlas was left hanging on the grooming table for over a minute while Angel sat down. The report says when Angel realized the dog was unresponsive, he called for help and the owner came in to do CPR before taking the dog to the vet, but Atlas could not be revived.

The affidavit says Angel told investigators the dog started to flail so Angel backed up to avoid being bitten. He said the dog pooped and needed a second bath. After a second bath, Angel claimed it appeared the dog was not breathing. He told investigators, according to l court documents, that he performed CPR until his boss stepped in to help.

The affidavit says the video showed that Angel punching Atlas seemed to coincide with the dog pooping.

The affidavit says an employee reported the dog’s death on September 1st to Tulsa Animal Welfare… saying a groomer hanged and beat a dog.

It also says man who was hired to pull the video from the security cameras was not asked to do so until September 5th. Court records say he contacted investigators after seeing it to report he’d watched a video that showed “a man murdering a dog.”

The affidavit says the owner told an investigator he didn’t want video of the incident to be released to the public because “it would hurt his business and he had five kids to support.”

The affidavit shows the other owner initially told investigators that Atlas was having a seizure when he was brought in and continued showing signs while being groomed causing him to go to the bathroom before becoming unresponsive.

Tulsa police say Angel was arrested last week at a dog show in Elk City.

This is a charge, not a conviction.
