Part of our Breeding program here at Central Ohio Riding Club is providing a solid foundation for the young horse to develop on. Training starts on day one, with consistent handling. From weanlings at about 9 months and up until they turn 3 years old we have them bathing, learning to stand for the farrier, as well as trailering, taking them off property and sometimes showing in ,in-hand classes at our local schooling shows, and all the things in between. This helps them as an older horse. We’ve helped prepare them for their step up in the world as a mount. In most instances this preparation helps boost their train-ability under saddle. We provide this service within our training program. For questions please contact us via PM, call (614)-873-6644, or through our website portal.

Cast in Gold had a perfect second show( EVER) to end this years show season. He was 2nd out of 5 in the sport horse in hand!
His personality and willingness to go to new places and act like he does is such a treat, hardly phased by the hustle and bustle of everything going on around him, especially when it’s in the low 40’s for his class!
He handled everything in stride and to us that’s the icing on the cake for this year. Now to let this yearling have a cozy winter to grow and mature and we’ll be back out next show season! 👋

Thank you Happily Ever After Horse Show Series for this awesome second experience for our youngster!

We’re excited to share that we took Crystal out for her very first under saddle show since she’s been with us. We placed 5th out of 15! We definitely were just there for the experience of it all but placing as well was the cherry on top. We still have ways to go but we’re definitely happy with the direction we’re headed with this pretty and awsome mare!

Thank you Happily Ever After Horse Show Series for putting on and making this show series possible!

This past weekend we debuted Cast in Gold at his first show, the Imperial Show held at the Champions Center in Springfield. You never would have guessed he’d never been to a show, he was laid back and enjoyed the trip. He was 5th in-hand on Friday and 1st in his in-hand on Saturday.

Also showing was Gold Happens. She scored nothing less than 69% and placed first in all 4 tests on Friday. She was 3rd and 4th in her in-hand non-stock class 4y/o and older Mare class.

Ulleandra showed by Lindsey Shepard
Was 1st and 2nd under both Judges in the Hunter Under Saddle
Unanimous 1sts in the Hunt Seat Equitation
3rd and 6th in the in-hand 4y/o and older Mare class
High score W/T/C in the Non-stock English division

(More pictures to come)

A big THANK YOU to the judges and the staff that made this show possible!
