From the Western Dressage World Show in Guthrie, Oklahoma fast forward less than 6 days and we were back out with new adventures in Delaware,Ohio at the Happily Ever After Horse Show Series. We had a wonderful time! Our kids were awesome, they put their best foot forward this weekend. The horses were happy to be out and about one last time before the cold really hits. We’re excited for next year!

We’re on our last part of our departure from the WDAA World Championship Show at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie,Oklahoma.

This was a very long week and a half, the endless hours of driving and fuel stops. The dedication to the sport really shows by all of those who will make this journey. The competition was fierce. Each and every test brought a new challenge to our horses and riders.
We’re proud to share that we didn’t come home empty handed!
Lindsey Shepard and Godspeede brought home a 3rd in the open hack and 10th in her Level 1 Test 1 Open division
Vicki Eitle and Notable Guy scooped up a 7th in the Equitation Amateur Division AND was the Halflinger High Point Award recipient
Cassidy Shepard and Gold Happens came out with a 9th in the Equitation Open Division and a 4th in their Basic Level test 4

The joy it brings to reconnect to those friends who we’ve met every year since the beginning in Tulsa, Oklahoma 2012 along with the incredible feeling when you make NEW friends.

It’s been real Oklahoma,
and we’re excited to take what we’ve learned this year and grow.
Until next time…

There were at least three seasons present throughout the weekend… We didn’t let that stop us!

We are so happy to share that our weekend of horse showing has ended with very big smiles!

We got to say hi and catch up with friends, we made some NEW friends!
We had some first experiences for rider AND horse,
and learning experiences for rider AND horse, but most of all we had amazing opportunities for team building and sportsmanship amongst all!
We had many ribbons that were well earned.
We shared many laughs to make the wait time less tiring.
We are all happy to be home. Until next time!

In the mean time though,

Here are some fun pictures of our experience!

Congratulations to everyone that participated at the Happily Ever After show!

Lastly, a Huge THANK YOU to the show staff and management that made this show opportunity possible!

We apologize for the inconvenience, the storm Monday afternoon took out our phone line. Please be patient and understanding as we’re trying to get this resolved as quickly as possible. Thank you!

We participated over the weekend at the Imperial Show put on by Buckeye Equestrian Events at the Champions Center in Springfield.

When life gives you lemons, MAKE LEMONADE! That’s exactly what we did when the show we planned to go to was cancelled the night before.

Lindsey saved the day when she found a 4-h/open show taking place at the Champions Center in Springfield. After mass chaos, and last minute planning we headed that way. Fast forward to Saturday aka “show day” it starts early and ended way later than expected, but was definitely a great opportunity for our kids to get out , try new things (like ba****ck classes😂) it was a fun, VERY LONG, but most of all a very rewarding experience.

We want to thank ALL of our Parents, with out your support and endless trips to get water😂, we couldn’t do what we do.

Here’s a couple pictures from yesterday!

We have our first horse show in the books, a big thank you to Buckeye Equestrian Events and Duane Stutzman for having and operating this super awesome dressage show!

All of our youth that competed over the weekend showed how much effort and dedication they’ve put forth over the winter and we couldn’t be more proud. Scores ranging from mid 50’s all the way up to mid 70’s. Our trainer/instructor Lindsey Shepard took home the high point award for Western Dressage in the open division with Godspeede on Sunday and SerenZippity received a high point award in Western Dressage on Saturday as well as a traditional dressage high point also on Saturday.

None of this would have been possible with out the behind the scenes help, and of course her amazing test reading ability instructor Leah Wilson!

Congratulations to all and we can’t wait to share more of our journey with everyone!
