Every now and then someone comes into our lives who is beyond special and when they leave this world our heartbreak is beyond painful. Tucker James chose me to be his dog walking buddy but, more important than that, he chose me to be his friend. He was loving and kind, funny and sometimes very serious and his gentle soul ALWAYS brought beauty to my day. I had the privilege of watching Tucker grow from a young pup into a wise old man and I will be forever grateful to his mom for sharing him with me.
Yesterday, at age 15, Tucker decided to leave this world and begin his next journey. The Heavens are richer with him in it and he is now running without pain and, without a doubt, this time he is actually catching the mail truck. Godspeed beautiful boy and thank you for being my friend.

VERY TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME MIGHT BE NEEDED ~ We are currently looking for a foster home that would be able to take a senior, female, black labrador retriever mix for 2 weeks. She was found as a stray so there is no information about her past. She might do well in a home with a male dog under 60 pounds. we don't know how she would do with cats. Because we don't know how she would do with kids, we are asking that a possible foster home not have children under 10. She does very well with people, she is potty trained and she is very sweet.
