It's been a crazy week! I'm sorry that I haven't posted anymore soap or Luna pictures, but things have been hectic. Hubby had his knee replaced last week and ran into some complications, so I haven't been home very much. But rest assured, he is on the mend, ans I will be back to soap making and Luna time this weekend!

Luna is always wet. Lola is a great mommy and does a great job of keeping her baby clean! 🤣

Welcome to the farm family, little one! We are so excited!

Luna, our baby mini Highland, arrived on October 13th at 1:00 am. Mom and baby are great! Lola is a fabulous first-time mommy.

Luna is NFS, as she will be staying on our farm to grow our breeding program. She will be available for mini photo sessions next month. Stay tuned for details!

It's been a busy week! Forgive me for not posting sooner. Remember when I posted that soapmaking is one big chemistry experiment? Well, a lot of calculations are made to ensure that your soap doesn't turn into a volcanic mess. The math didn't math, and I had a minor mishap with the winning soap's fragrance calculation. I had to rebatch. No worries, though! I fixed the issue, and present to you....Winter Wonderland!

Other soaps crafted this week are Under the Harvest Moon, Lavender Vanilla, and Honey Peppermint!

🎃HAPPY OCTOBER FIRST!🎃

Let me preface this by saying that every loaf of soap I make is a learning opportunity. I've been making goat milk soap for almost a year, and there is still so much to learn and experience! The art of soap making is definitely one big science experiment. Not all colorants, fragrance oils and base oils are alike, which can lead to interesting outcomes.

This week, To***co and Leather tied with Under the Harvest Moon in the poll. Normally I would just keep it simple and choose one. However, I purchased some new mica colorants and embed molds, so I decided to throw caution to the wind and make both!

Unfortunately, my moon mold didn't arrive when expected, so I decided to make Fruit Loops and To***co and Leather.

Both soaps smell amazing. The Fruit Loops are ON POINT! However, the colors in my Loops and in my To***co and Leather swirls were... off. I'm not a fan. But don't worry - they might not look the prettiest, but I'm sure they both will make you smell yummy once they are finished curing!

The other new soap is Rosemary Mint and it's absolutely TO DIE FOR! 💀

Harvest Moon and Pine Tar are on the agenda for tomorrow night!🌕🌲

Well, I was planning on having a pop up soap sale this weekend and rolling out the new little roadside stand that hubby built for me. However, Mother Nature had other plans. 🌧🌩🌬

I guess it's a good weekend to get a headstart on Christmas scents! What's your favorite holiday scent?

Shown below are two of my latest creations - Spiced Apple Chai and Dia de Las Mu***os!

Spiced Apple Chai is a spicy blend of apples, cinnamon chai tea and a hint of vanilla. It's made with real cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamon, and the perfect scent for a chilly, rainy day!

Dia de Las Mu***os has a bright, energizing scent of blood orange essential oil, cardamon and ginger. This scent is on 🔥

I did some experimenting with the soap making this past weekend! Introducing Perfectly Pumpkin! This luxurious goat milk soap contains pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and turmeric. No artifical colors added, with just 1/2 oz of pumpkin spice fragrance oil.

🌻The first packs of seeds are ready to go out tomorrow and Tuesday!🌻

Thank you to everyone who has supported my family farm, whether you purchased pumpkins or seeds! My goal is to have a larger sunflower field and pumpkin patch next year, both of which I plan to open to the public for picking and photo sessions.

Your purchase helps pay for the seeds for next year (over 30 varieties of pumpkins and sunflowers planned so far) and for our packaging. I try to purchase seeds and supplies from other local farms/small businesses in the area whenever possible.

I'll have more sunflower seeds going out next week. If you'd still like to purchase, please send me a PM with your address and how many packets you would like. Right now, packets of 20 seeds are 3 for $5 or $2 each plus shipping (which is around $2). I include instructions for storage and planting.

I'll also have some packages out with my remaining pumpkins Monday-Thursday from 11am to 7pm, weather permitting. I accept PayPal, Cash, Venmo and Cash App.

I'm offering packets of twenty Harvest Moon Variety seeds this weekend. Each pack will include twenty seeds which will contain seeds from my Mammoth, Teddy Bear, Lemon Eclair, Strawberry Blonde, Ring of Fire, Creme Brulee, Suntastic Pink and Chocolate Cherry sunflowers. All sunflowers are naturally grown with no herbicides or insecticides. They're super-easy to grow, and as you can tell, have the potential to grow VERY tall!
