We're now offering goat milk soap in a variety of scents!

Goat milk soap is incredibly beneficial as it is both gentle and nourishing to your skin. Rich in fatty acids, it supports your skin's barrier to keep you moisturized.

Goat milk soap can also act as a exfoliant, and help soothe skin irritated by acne, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

The Funnel Cake pumpkin is one of twenty varieties of pumpkins we'll be growing this year. The pink and blue hues make this beauty a crowd favorite, as Funnel Cake is perfect stackable porch decoration!

Each pumpkin can grow to a weight of close to a whopping 30 lbs with an average height of eight inches and a diameter of fifteen to sixteen inches.

Today's featured sunflower is Chocolate Cherry (Helianthus annuus). This beauty can reach a height of six feet! The Chocolate Cherry sunflower is one of our favorites, and is perfect for floral arrangements, especially centerpieces and bridal bouquets.

All of our beautiful sunflowers will be the perfect background for our mini photo sessions in September! They will also be available for cut and carry! 🌻

Who's ready for Spring? 👋

My goal for this Summer is to have sunflowers blooming from August through October. I may have gone a little overboard with the purchasing of seeds! With the thousands of seeds we harvested last season, plus the seeds I purchased in January, we should have over twenty varieties of sunflowers!
Varieties include Russian Giant, Velvet Plum, Velvet Queen, Lemon Eclair, Lemon Queen and Sunfire.

I've never had a green thumb..like, at all! However, sunflowers are one of the few plants I've been able to successfully grow because they're so easy and require little to no maintenance. Just add some water and LOTS of sunshine!

Gardening is also proven to help alleviate stress and boost self-esteem. Studies have shown that the smell of fresh dirt can release serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain, thus acting like an anti-depressant.

Who knew?

ATTENTION PHOTOGRAPHERS!

We will be offering mini photo sessions here at the farm beginning August 14, 2024. Each session will be thirty minutes in length. Photos can be taken in our gorgeous sunflower garden or in our field, and can include several different props/backgrounds!

The price for the thirty minute mini session will be $75. Your client can add one of our horses or our miniature Scottish Highland Cow to the background for a cost of $35.

Happy New Year!

As spring approaches, so does a new 4H season. My horses have been out of work and unfortunately, have become quite chunky and lazy. They need jobs.

I will have a few lesson horses available for ON-SITE 4H lease beginning March 1st for 4H members wanting to show at the Richwood Fair. Lessee would be required to take one lesson from me per week (included in lease price)but could ride their leased horse basically whenever they desired.

My horses are well-trained but again, are fat and lazy. Therefore, lessee must be an experienced rider (intermediate) who can confidently ride at the walk, jog and lope.

I would be responsible for daily care, feeding, and maintenance. Lessee would be financially responsible for hauling to fair 4H group rides, or local educational shows. They would also be required to clean leased horse's stall three times per week.

An opportunity to work off part of the lease fee would be possible for the right lessee.

🌻The first packs of seeds are ready to go out tomorrow and Tuesday!🌻

Thank you to everyone who has supported my family farm, whether you purchased pumpkins or seeds! My goal is to have a larger sunflower field and pumpkin patch next year, both of which I plan to open to the public for picking and photo sessions.

Your purchase helps pay for the seeds for next year (over 30 varieties of pumpkins and sunflowers planned so far) and for our packaging. I try to purchase seeds and supplies from other local farms/small businesses in the area whenever possible.

I'll have more sunflower seeds going out next week. If you'd still like to purchase, please send me a PM with your address and how many packets you would like. Right now, packets of 20 seeds are 3 for $5 or $2 each plus shipping (which is around $2). I include instructions for storage and planting.

I'll also have some packages out with my remaining pumpkins Monday-Thursday from 11am to 7pm, weather permitting. I accept PayPal, Cash, Venmo and Cash App.

All sunflowers are naturally grown with no herbicides or insecticides. They're super-easy to grow, and as you can tell, have the potential to grow VERY tall!

Hello friends. I have made the difficult decision to retire from teaching riding lessons. We will be switching our focus to cattle, pumpkins and sunflowers. The page will still exist, and I hope that you'll all continue to follow us as we set out on this new adventure! I will have a few horses available for on-site lease for next year's 4H season.
