Timberway Farm is nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains outside of Maryville, Tennessee and is owned by us, Randy and Debbie Allen and Ashley. The homestead was built in 1900 and we have been lovingly restoring the home and grounds ever since. Randy has always had a horse growing up and when a polo club started in Knoxville, Randy joined. Ashley was born that same year and attended her f
irst polo match at one week old. Polo was a big part of our lives for many years until Ashley took an interest in learning to jump. Our farm still sports polo ponies and Randy practices occasionally in Lexington with the former Knoxville polo pro, Jorge Vasquez. Nowadays we have more event horses than polo ponies. About Ashley:
Ashley is a B graduate with the USPC. She has competed up to the Intermediate/1* level in eventing and up to second level dressage. Ashley has been competing at the upper levels of eventing since 2009 on 4 different horses. In 2009, Ashley spent 5 months as a working student under Irish 4* eventer Hilda Donahue. Ashley specializes in producing young horses carefully up the levels with the help of her mentors. She has done extensive training under numerous professionals including: Bermuda Pan American Games and Grand Prix Dressage rider-Cathy Fox, two-time US Olympian-Julie Richards, Australian World Equestrian Games Competitor and 4* Eventer-Peter Atkins, Irish 4* Eventer-Hilda Donahue, and Advanced Level Competitor-Erika Adams.
