Maryville/Alcoa Animal Rescue Center Maryville/Alcoa Animal Rescue is a 501c3 No-Kill Rescue partnered with the Maryville City Shelter.

MAARC operates from 426 Home Avenue and houses both dogs and cats. Hours for dogs are Mon-Fri 2:30pm-5:30pm and Saturday 10am-1pm. Please call 865-273-3751

Cats are Saturday 10am-1pm or by appointment. Please call or text 865-599-7304 and feel free to leave a voicemail. Our goal is to sustain a 97% and higher save rate for the animals who enter the Maryville City Shelter with robust adoption and community programs.

At just 8 months old, this pit bull mix has enough energy to power a small city. Noodles is quickly becoming a favorite playmate among the other shelter dogs, romping and wrestling her way through the day. She's previously lived with children but tends to play bumper cars with her humans, so she'd do best with older kids (or small ones in bubble wrap). Meet Lily, the gentle soul beginning a new chapter

This 8-year-old American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix thought her happily-ever-after had already been written when she was adopted in 2020, but life, in its unpredictable way, brought her back to us when her beloved person fell ill. Now, Lily is starting a new chapter with grace, resilience, and a whole lot of heart. A big girl with an even bigger soul, Lily loves nothing more than curling up on a cozy bed and staying close to her people. The MAARC Mission

Maryville / Alcoa Animal Rescue Center, (MAARC) is an all volunteer animal rescue group. Our mission is to rescue animals in danger of being euthanized in our local shelter, with a purpose of creating a safe, no kill community and eventually advancing animal welfare for animals in surrounding county shelters or beyond.

MAARC is extremely fortunate to partner with the Maryville City Shelter. The shelter staff and animal control officers work cohesively with our group to get animals adopted directly from the shelter.

Our page and any other social media avenue, is a critical piece of finding our animals permanent homes or foster homes. Look for us in the near future on petfinder.com and other adoption websites.
