He is a Board and Train here for the next several weeks. Shows signs of fear and severe anxiety which have now manifested into aggression. Very common. Fight, Flight, and Submit are natures survival options, and when the animal exhausts an option, it tries the next. Its survival. He isn’t confidently aggressive. He has tried flight/submit before, probably for years, and when that doesn’t make a stressful situation “disappear” then his last option is Fight.
I’ve worked with lots of dogs similar to him and we will try our best to befriend him in the next week or 2. And with that we can start teaching serious obedience and we can use that obedience to help him navigate stressful situations in a safer manner and so he can have a leader to look towards when he need them. Long road ahead for this little man.

THIS IS WHY I TRAIN DOGS.
This dog almost brought tears to my eyes as I saw the flash of recognition that I can be fun. And he can have fun while learning and trusting me. This Board and Train is the most stress he’s probably ever been through. But without learning to cope with stress, we will never move forward.
New place. New rules. New handler. New dogs in the house. Stress!

Fight, Flight, Submit.
Those are stress responses and he has to learn to deal with daily stress and choose a better alternative than being aggressive or being so fearful.
Looking and following me is always a good choice. Obedience is always a good choice. And through this habit, when he encounters stress again, he will learn to just follow my lead and direction to guide him through it. Stress is a part of every animals (including humans) lives. We must learn to deal with it in a proper manner.
Not bad for a dog who bit the crap out of me exactly 1wk prior to this.

BnT Pata - Dogs make mistakes. They’re animals. It’s our job to communicate in a way they understand, with or without tools, to guide them and make sure they understand the expectations. That means they have to FULLY understand Commands, Markers, Rewards, and Corrections. Then any right or wrong choice they make, we can reward/correct accordingly.
This is of course a very minor mistake on her part. Broke her down once, and didn’t down once. It’s not that she doesn’t know them, but she’s a puppy, tell her it’s wrong (“NO”) and then add a correction to back up your words (E-Collar in this case) and she’s like “Ohhhhh that DOWN. Got it, thanks for telling me”
Dogs get “lazy” or “slow” or “stubborn” when we don’t back up what we say. Good or bad. Reward your dog, or guide and correct your dog. Give them fair but firm leadership and you’ll have the greatest companion.

We are seeing very open social temperaments. High food drive and hunt drives. Some with some strong possessiveness. Large and big boned dogs. Very happy with how they’re turning out!😍
