💗⚕️🩺It’s Veterinary Receptionist Week and we would like to have the world know who Bryna and Stephanie are…two of the most courageous and caring humans we have ever had the pleasure to work with. This power duo has it all…and they LOVE your pet because they KNOW your pet…. 💗⚕️🩺

🌺Prior to working as a receptionist for our clinic, Bryna was a client of Dr. Leach’s practice for decades, and has rescued many large dogs, all who hold a special place in our heart and all who have benefitted greatly from Bryna’s devotion and love. Bryna has always seen to every last detail for the needs of each pet as well as added the finishing touches to volunteer events, seasonal decorations for our lobby, and fully planned and implemented special moments for our vet hospital such as the Howliday CommuniTree, where our clients placed in excess of $5000 (!) worth of donations to be sent to pets in foster care and rescue. She’s been there for us and we can’t ever thank her enough to be equal to the effort she’s put into her time with us.

🪷 Stephanie has been a shining example of a person who cares for every. single. case. Stopping at absolutely nothing to offer good service and an answer for each pet, the skills she’s built from her extensive background at the MSPCA are highly valued in our practice. Stephanie has rescued countless small dogs (👋🏼who’s met Magoo, her little chichi dude that hangs out in the office chair at the front desk!?) and given them gold standard care. Stephanie works hard to arrange bouquets, flower boxes, and vases that she crafts herself in her pottery kiln that she specially presents just for beautifying, and romanticizing, our clinic space, and her level of calm only adds to the atmosphere. You’ve got to check out her work- there’s always a new piece on display at the receptionist area!

☺️Both of these women exude grace, humility, and kindness to every client, staff member, and animal that touches their space. We are lucky to have them. And we hope you are too.

🙌🏼It’s Veterinary Receptionist Week and we are showing our community the folks whose faces and voice you see and hear first. 📞✋🏼
Lilly and Abbey are vet receptionists, and also technicians, who care for pets one to one from start to finish, whether it’s preparing doctor’s orders or providing life-saving care (anesthesia, CPR, and more!) They know how to 🚨triage 🆘 a pet who might be having trouble with their health and you can depend on them to advise you to do the right thing at a moment’s notice.

🍄Lilly is specially trained to assist in orthopedic procedures such as ACL (knee stabilizing) surgery.
🌮Abbey is our inventory manager on top of the receptionist and tech duties, and is keeping close track of all pharmaceuticals and products that may go home with your pet!

🏥 Both Lilly and Abbey are Fear Free certified and CPR first aid certified, and have been present for countless emergencies where their skills were crucial for success in the patient’s comfort and survival.

🌙🌠🪂Above and beyond? YOU bet they are! Here’s a shout out to vet receptionists Jessica, Hailey, and Kristen, who all bring something special to our clinic.
❤️Jessica (a.k.a Messy Jessy) rocks out both the front desk and appointments in rooms, bringing experience with large animals and dogs alike, and is always the first to arrive on scene to help. She is also the first to offer the team food because we all (always!) are hungry! 🍭
💜 Hailey has a soft voice and kind heart, and exudes patience with both our clients and their littlest puppers. If you’ve seen any crochet pets around our office or have been lucky enough to receive one as a gift, Hailey definitely made it! 🧸
💙 Kristen is in all areas of the hospital AND your community, from the voice on the phone to the tech monitoring your pet for symptoms to volunteering at all the animal related community events. Always thinking of our pet’s best life and the memory they keep, Kristen personally collects the rocks and paints memorial stones for pet families to take with them if their babies gain their angel wings.🪽✨

Our staff has already reached out directly to those with appointments scheduled for tomorrow over the phone. If your pet has an emergency in the next 24 hours, please call CCVS (Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists) at 508.398.7575 or call your nearest urgent care vet for more immediate health care services. We will resume normal services on Wednesday, February 14.

Comfort K9 Cara (a.k.a “Subie”) is filling the big, sweet paws of long term therapy dog Keiki, to assist her community right here on Cape Cod…and we are here to see her vet care through! Thank you Atlantic Subaru and Mashpee Police Department for giving Subie a home and heart to grow alongside her handler and best fur-iend Officer Katie Hennessy. We can’t wait to see all the wonderful work this team does for Mashpee. 🙌🏼🐶👮🏻🚓

It's almost 2024! We want to take a moment to sincerely thank the network of veterinary hospitals who work with us.

How does this work? When a pet owner qualifies for financial assistance, these committed and dedicated animal hospitals on Cape Cod and the Islands are contracted with us to provide care at a reduced cost. We then pay all or a substantial portion of the remainder through monies allocated to the veterinarian.
