"Woody was adopted as a young puppy, amd returned for behavioral issues due to his energy not being met. With some structure, and lots of fetching, Woody is ready to roll! He loves to play, but loves to snuggle just as much. He very much wants to be in your business, and apart of everything. He loves going for cars rides too! Woody will do best in a home that is familiar with Heeler behavior, and their needs. He is house trained, crate trained, and does well on a leash."

Meet Mochi, our longest Kitty Brew resident! This sweet, affectionate girl has been waiting patiently for her forever home, and we cannot figure out why she hasn’t been chosen yet. She’s a pro-level napper, a champion eater (never misses a meal!), and she’ll keep you entertained with her funny little chirps and meows. Mochi is the perfect low-maintenance companion—she just needs a cozy spot, good food, and a loving human to share her days with.

🎉 BIG NEWS—KITTY BREW IS MOVING!! 🎉

Our current location will close at the end of February as our lease ends, but this is NOT goodbye—just a short pause before we reopen in an exciting new space! While we’ll be closed for a bit to make the transition, we can’t wait to welcome you to our new home!

Since opening in 2017, Kitty Brew has facilitated over 4,400 adoptions, helping so many kitties find their forever homes. That mission isn’t changing—we’re just getting a fresh start! 🐾 Jenni, our amazing founder, is passing the torch to longtime employee Kelly, who is thrilled to continue connecting people with adoptable cats. 💜

📍 Our new home will be at 721 Reading Road in Mason Square—right across from the WLW tower and next to Lucky Dog Grille! We’ll be easier to find in a more visible, accessible location while keeping the same cozy, welcoming atmosphere you love.

Until then, we’re operating as usual through the end of February, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Let’s get as many cats adopted as possible before we move—so they don’t have to spend extra time in shelters. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the purrfect time! 🐾

Skunk Alert!!!
A public service announcement from animal control:
February Through early March is skunk breeding season. Before you let your dogs out, make a little noise and give skunks time to move out of your yard.

If you come face to face with a skunk, stay calm and talk softly to let him know you’re there -- skunks have poor eyesight. Skunks are very sweet natured animals and don’t want to spray you. Go about your business and avoid startling them.
Skunks will give you several warnings if they are scared:
1. They will stomp their front feet
2. They turn their backs to you
3. They will do a handstand
4. They will spray up to 10 feet away

If a skunk DOES spray, here is a technique and recipe:
First, catch the dog (or the person!) as quickly as possible - don’t let them roll or rub on anything. If you have rubber gloves wear them. BLOT the spray off with paper towels.
Mix a paste from 1 teaspoon Dawn dish soap, 3% hydrogen peroxide and ¼ cup baking soda and spread it on the area. Do not add water! Let it sit for ten minutes then rinse off and repeat.
If this happens to be on a human or hairless animal, leave out the baking soda. The baking soda is sort of like an exfoliant and is really abrasive to bare skin.
Skunks are omnivores (eat both plant and animal material). They prefer to eat insects, particularly grasshoppers, beetles, and crickets. They also eat grubs and other insect larvae as well as bees and wasps. When the opportunity arises, they will take mice, rats, moles, shrews, young ground squirrels and rabbits, nesting birds, nestlings, and bird or snake eggs. Skunks also eat corn, berries, and other vegetation. In an urban environment, they may eat garbage or pet food that has been left outside.

Habitat Modification:
Secure garbage cans and close dumpster lids at night.
Control rodent populations.
Do not leave pet food outdoors at night.
Remove brush or wood piles.
Control lawn grubs.
