Doggy Daze Daycare *COMING SOON* Doggy Daze Daycare will be opening for business soon!

02/25/2023

Hello all,

We are sorry to inform that due to unforeseen circumstances and unfortunate personal events, we have decided not to open Doggy Daze at this time. 😓 If we are able to find a larger and more accommodating space and also more time to dedicate to the business, there may be hope for opening in the future. As for now, we wanted to thank everyone for the love and all the support we have received and we will keep you all, and your doggos, in mind. 🐾

With love,
Doggy Daze 🐶

When we freed Lucy from the puppy mill farm last month , the last thing on our mind was puppies. Little did we know , and lucky for her , neither did the mill farmer realize , she was pregnant when she came to rescue. she has been gaining so much confidence and getting so much love in foster care. her foster mom started to notice that her belly was getting bigger and it became more and more obvious that she was going to have puppies. We confirmed a little less than 2 weeks ago there are little baby dalmatians on the way. Lucy started to have some discharge today And she’s had prior C-sections because we can see the scars. Not knowing exactly how old the babies are makes this a little bit complicated. We don’t want to take them to early and we don’t want to wait too long with the discharge she’s having and have complications.
More than likely she will be headed to the operating room today for a c section.

Please keep Lucy and her puppies in your thoughts and prayers. To Contribute towards their medical care and upcoming needs, donations are greatly needed as always. The following options are available:

1. Donate through our website https://seventhheavenrescue.org/

2. Click the donation link at the top of this page

3. To send a check.

Hey all! I hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying the weather with your pups🐶😎

We wanted to give you all an update as far as opening dates. We have been working very hard and have been super busy with all of the planning and organizing to get started, and on top of that we have been in the process of moving and closing on our new house! (Which we will talk about later 😉🐶🏡)

With that being said, as much as we wanted an earlier opening date, our lumber order has been delayed and we are still waiting for it to come in to start our renovations. 😖 No worries though! It should he here shortly and in the meantime we wanted to thank you all for the continued support and love! We have an amazon list here if anybody would like to donate. (Donations are never expected, but always appreciated) ♥️ Or if there is anything anybody would like to donate, we are always needing things like blankets, toys and treats ☺️

Again thank you all so much for the support and we hope to see you and your doggos soon 🐾

Before Monday ends..

I didn’t forget about the M3. The mission on Mondays is about the money. The never ending battle to survive. I have to keep pushing it. How do you think I keep going every month?
It’s You! And them! And their stories.

Rescues are struggling and closing their doors everyday because of the crisis we are in. People are saying it’s the worse they have ever seen with the shelters full and the homeless pet crisis at an all time high.
But kids are making millions playing video games on YouTube.
Ok, so why should I close my doors when I have way cooler content than watching people comment and play a video game?
Over the last year or so I have been pushing my silly little videos and a Patreon subscription. Why? Because it gives me place to express myself through my story telling and is a major source of income for my husky operation here. But they charge a ton of fees and they make it a PITA to post videos. I also started asking you to subscribe to my FB page which is easier but not as many options as Patreon.

Well, I found a way to do a form of Patreon and FB subscribe but in my own website without the huskies losing any money to use the site.
This means it’s easier for me to post videos that link to my site instead of a site they force me to link from, it’s easier for me to collect the monthly donations instead having to ask the platform to release the funds and then run it through multiple acct to get it to the bill paying account and the huskies get ALL of your donation. 100%.
For this reason, Patreons and FB subscribers will be getting a message from me asking if you will kindly make the switch. I hope to not lose anyone through the transition and vow to make it as smoothly as possible.
So, want to see an update on Rose that I won’t be posting here? How about a video I did yesterday of some of the silly things the huskies are up to. You can do so by signing up for my $1 a month club.

$1 a month is all I am asking. I need $15,000 to run a facility this size plus care for the dogs, every month or I do close my doors, just like any other business. There are 15,000 followers here. If you all joined we would be set and would only need to fundraise for emergency medical and bigger projects, and not worry about paying the light bill.

So will you do it? Give us $1 a month? It’s a monthly withdrawal and at $1 you won’t even notice it, but we will, because we keep the doors open another month. Together we can do this and we only each need
each of you to do a tiny bit. $1 a month from all of you, and we continue on.
You in? You won’t regret it I promise to put so much of my time, creativity and story telling skills to totally make itworth a dollar month. And you get to help me save their lives.

Sign up here 👉 https://www.huskyhalfwayhouse.org/plans-pricing

Please consider switching your Patreon over too. The huskies get your entire amount no additional third party fees taken out.
At this moment there are just a few posts but as I said, I promise to entertain you if you will help me save their lives.
You in?

I need to explain something super important to you all.

Being a professional dog trainer does not make it so my dogs don’t act like dogs. I’m not immune to their shenanigans any more than you.

It doesn’t mean my puppy won’t bite or mouth or jump or bark. It doesn’t mean I won’t deal with reactivity, or resource guarding, or fear and anxiety etc….. The same as being a pediatrician doesn’t guarantee your child won’t suffer from a medical condition, or allergies etc.

My experience and knowledge may help me observe and prevent things quickly; or intervene appropriately, know what management to use, but it doesn’t give me an invisible shield that means my new puppy won’t grab my pant legs and start yanking on them. I go through allll the same stuff you do.

What being a professional dog trainer helps me with, is knowing what’s normal, what battles to pick, what ones to leave be, and be able to weigh what’s important vs what’s not. It means I also am acutely aware of how fleeting this time is. Looking at Corduroy, I know the reason he’s here is because someone else isn’t, and so I’m treasuring these moments. I know one day I’ll look down at the dog at my feet and think “I remember when you put holes in my jeans” and I’ll smile and miss those early days and wish goodbye didn’t come so soon.

There’s no magic to living with a dog without some chaos and some stuff we’d prefer to not have to go through. But, that’s the trade off isn’t it? The magic is the fact that we have a dog… that’s loves us and chooses us everyday. Please remember that, and let some of the little things go.

Also, please send me some new jeans.

Puppies, puppies, & more puppies 🐶!!!!

The JCHS rescue team is committed to extending our reach of saving lives !!! Through our rescue program we are able to reach outside of Jefferson County and help pull animals (in many cases) from high kill areas and euthanasia lists to SAVE their lives !!

However, these animals are unable to be housed at the shelter due to them being from out of county … which is why we need YOU and loving fosters to provide them with a temporary place to stay !!!
We provide all supplies to care for they animals, while you get all the snuggles and tail wags !

If you’re interested in opening up your home to one of these sweet rescue puppies in the near future … please feel free to contact a Foster Coordinator at 740-313-4055 for more information, or fill out at application using the link below and we will be in touch !!
