The Beginning of Good Vibes Grooming!
I have always loved animals. I have consistently been the daydreamer, the girl that always stopped for any animal in need. I knew in my heart that I would be happy if I worked with animals. My favorite job and the beginning of the grooming life came when I was a Boarding Assistant at a incredible Veterinary Clinic in Grand Rapids, MI. I fell even more in love with animals with that job. I couldn't wait to go to work, all the animals loved being there. The staff, the building and the animals had an energy about them. Most days I would be soaked within 2 minutes of arriving from a happy dog that was swimming. I couldn't stop smiling, watching the animal’s pure joy for life was infectious. We would bathe every dog before leaving boarding. Watching them leave happy and squeaky clean was pure joy. A job offer sent my husband on and I on an adventure out of state so I, sadly, left that job but the memories never faded.
We lived in Utah and Wisconsin, adding adventures and animals to our pack. We currently have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, 8 chickens and a turkey. As my pack began to age, I worried about the care my dogs received and the increased need for grooming. One of our dogs now requires geriatric attention and can only be groomed while laying down. Standing too long is just too painful for him. I love my senior dogs and believe they have earned that special time and attention. With the increase in my pack, which naturally brought an increase in pet hair in my life, I decided to go back to the best job I ever had and chose to create a career out of it. I am finishing up my studies with Paragon Pet Grooming School in Grand Rapids, MI. I am focusing my grooming efforts around ensuring the best possible experience for the animal. Creating positive energy and, shall we say, Good Vibes......Grooming!
