We love Bagheera!! 💜🐾

Our boy Bagheera has been feeling sick for several weeks now. Despite multiple vet visits-even one to the ER- we had been unable to get to the root of it. He was just off. He didn’t feel well, that was obvious, but the diagnostics weren’t revealing a real reason as to why. Fortunately his vet Dr. Williamson of Mattawan Animal Hospital was just as committed as we were to helping him feel better. She ran an infectious disease panel on him, and we finally found out what was causing his symptoms! It’s hemotropic mycoplasma, which can be a real problem for cats with FIV like he has. Fortunately we caught it before it caused more serious issues like autoimmune driven anemia, and we immediately got him started on the antibiotics to make him feel better. He’s already improving, and we are so thankful to have our boy back to normal!

Pawlee offered to cover for everyone, but his track record of typos and hang up phone calls prevented us from leaving the office in his capable paws. Hello and happy Thursday from MAH! We have good news and bad news. The bad news is that our office will be closed this Saturday, August 19th. The good news is that we will be at a staff wedding!! Pawlee will not be attending and has expressed his frustration that he cannot object to someone else being the center of attention 🐱 Friendly reminder to tie up any medication refills or other medical business before we close on Friday at 5 pm. Loud sounds, large crowds and flashing lights can be stressful for our four legged friends. Many of our clients rely on mild sedatives for their pets to help get through the hustle and bustle without undue stress, and we’d like to remind you to call those in if you are one of them!! Make sure your leash/harness is secure and has identification & updated contact information, as well as securing yards and fences in case your friend gets spooked and tries to bolt.
