These three cute faces belong to Kyro, Grover, and Gladis. These are three of the 146 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation (the article from the Chicago Tribune can be found here: https://bit.ly/40QvH4Z). Due to their past, we are looking for adopters who understand their past and are looking to work with them as they overcome those barriers. They may need help with housetraining, may be a flight risk, and may have separation anxiety. They are all dog-friendly and are required to go to a home with another dog to help with their confidence. We don't give out 15/10's often, but that changes today for these pups.

We have two pups here who absolutely CRUSHED their modeling debuts. Our first pup is 8-month-old Roscoe. He's such a happy brindle boy ❤. He is dog-friendly! Our other incredibly handsome pup is one-year-old Knuckles, who is also dog-friendly! 14/10 for both!

This sweetie is Elektra. She wants to tell you all a story about how she ate a treat. She was so very proud of this story, so we sat down and listened to her. 14/10 for her. Her teefers and the way she sits are TOO CUTE.

Mikey came through our doors on Friday in rough shape. He's just a baby and has already been through so much. Mikey has since gone home with one of our staff members in foster care and has begun his road to recovery. Luckily, he has no major injuries or broken bones. He's just scared and very thin. It will take time, but his story begins now. You can see more of little Mikey in the comments below ❤.

Yes, his name is Diablo, but don't let the name fool you. He's a sweet boy. We're getting to know him, and besides being incredibly handsome and sweet, he's smart. If we could hold your paw all day, we would 🥹. This five-year-old boy is dog-friendly!

We know we've posted our three-month-old Qiana recently on our page, but THESE PICTURES ARE TOO ADORABLE NOT TO SHARE!! We've recently added a new cat tree to the cat room, and she made sure to test it for us and let us know her expert opinion. Final grade: A+. 14.5/10 for this sweet baby ❤.

We're a part of two adoption events this weekend that we are incredibly excited to share about!

First, we'll be at South Holland Public Library from 12 to 3 pm, and we're bringing our handsome tripod, Thor. He is nearly six years old and searching for his furever home. He's a lovebug and wants to be by his favorite people. Thor is dog-friendly! Our second pup is 5-month-old Lorna. She's a super sweet, wiggly, and cute baby 💕

UPDATE: TANGY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!

You might recognize this cute pup! This is our sweet girl, Tangy, who traveled to WGN with us and captured the spotlight of being on TV ❤. After that segment, Tangy went into foster to finish recovering from her skin condition and is now back at our shelter, ready to find her furever home! This wiggle butt is super excited, and so are we 🥹.

Sandy's ears are everything and we couldn't help but share some photos of her. This girl is 11 years old with the heart of a puppy. She loves to get playful with you and prances around the yard in the cutest way possible. Sandy is looking for her furever home and hopes today is the day!

National Adoption Week -- Vernon!

We appreciate his effort. 14/10. National Adoption Week with PetSmart Charities begins today with PetSmart in Matteson from 3 to 6 pm! Vernon is one of the many kitties attending today's event in hopes of being adopted, along with Fruity Pebbles, Coco Pebbles, Trix, Cheerio, and Fruit Loop. Macho Man!

We've seen Evie and Christian so far on our Staff Pick Takeover, and we bring you Stacey's pick, our handsome eight-year, seven-month-old, Macho. Stace loves Macho because of how sweet and unique this chonky boy is. He loves to sit on your lap and is ready for your best pets. If you look up couch potato in the dictionary, you may find a picture of Macho as the definition. He has been in our care for over 65 days and is ready for a place to call his own. He would do best as an only pet! We're open until 5 pm and adoption fees are WAIVED for our pets!

Monet was considering trying out for America's Got Talent to show off her playing abilities. She was worried about showing off too much of her routine for other contestants to see. She knew that would scare them off, so she just showed a little bit of it! Thank you, Monet. 14.5/10. Monet is around eight years old and has been with us since May.
